and the watt required for the bulbs isnt it going to disturb voltage balance for my g4?

cause to my noob understanding advised to use 55/60w

 

I usually but my bulbs online largely because sometimes, even after you've included shipping, they're still cheaper and you can actually find what you really want rather then have the shop push what they have on their shelves. Do a bit of Googling.

 

When it concerns engineering, there is always the triple constrain of power consumption, heat generated and lifespan. So if you increase the wattage or the light output, you'll look at an increase in heat generated. I wouldn't be able to advise if increase the wattage on your bike will melt the reflectors, headlamp unit or harness, but I'm using the 70/65w in my bike without any known issues.

Try looking at PowerBulbs, Svetila and CandlePower.

 

PowerBulbs carry a good range of HID bulbs completed my shopping in a minute but Svetila is great for halogen bulbs especially if you have the Osram part numbers gets you hard to find wattage!

 

CandlePower is fuss free but don't expect to find designer bulbs on them. Daniel Stern is a SME on lighting and is someone who prefers functionality over form. Have a chat with him when you have a chance to, he knows his stuff.

 

For specifications on wattage and lumen refer to the Osram catalog. I've yet to find the Philips one, they seem to be very closely guarded in this area, hence I prefer Osram even though I get staff price for Philips products. Daniel Starn has some general information on his website too, but they're usually very stripped down one-liner, good if you're a techie and want just the meat.

guys, i'm ordering 20pcs (1 set) of viton o-rings for our g4 carbs from uk @ 11GPB (S$24+). postage exclude. 1 - 3sets of o-rings @ same postage. anyone interested? we share the postage charges. let me know ASAP. you can change them when you go for your carb service. its cheaper, from what i asked @ GH, they charged me 8 o-rings @ $40. contact me @ 924-76276, not here to earn $. just trying to help. a deposit is needed, thanks.

it may solve some of your carbs problems, running rich, FC etc. i think its worth it a try if you think you are not getting the best from this old bike's carbs. i will also be looking for main jets.

WHO'S THE GUY??? i did mine @ planet. sanding abit then change seal, ok alrdy. cost me only $30+ or $50. for mths, its dry x2.

@ 1st i changed once every 6mths, maybe cos they damaged the seal when they insert it in, its not an easy job. some even quoted me @ $200+. decide yourself.

don't listen to those mechanics...i had the same problem before..its just they are incapable of doing it correctly..i went down to guanhoe to replace...he even assured me that nothing was wrong and gave me warranty for it

yeah..last time went to this shop in bukit merah...they told me gotta replace fork too because there's micro holes on the fork..thats y keep leaking..in the end i pay them $100 over to replace my fork oil seal twice and still leaking..from one side leak to two sides leak...then they don't wanna take responsibilities..went to guan hoe...get it done once and for all with warranty somemore...and guan hoe actually charged me cheaper than the other shop!

you gota see where's the mark. i heard from the mech, he added abit more oil, inorder not to let the seal touch the scratch... not ex, so you can give it a try before you really change a used 1 but how sure can you be that the used 1 will be ok? riders here ever bought a leaked used 1 from pple... wasted $ & time, getting 2 spoilt forks...

S$32. you wont get that price in singapore! change your o-rings to prevent fuel leak, running rich. carbs running rich is not good for your engine, it'll bore your pistons.. pls pm me for more details if you are interested.
