as a matter of fact... 6th gear doesn't hav much power... it will onli increase speed slowly... for my ex-g4, overtaking any 400cc bike is no prob at all... (to busa lose tata... :sian: ) wat i'll do is to drop to gear 3(usually @ gear 5), on-off throttle to counter retardness(tis will 'xiong' ur piston) smooth control e throttle alittle then buka all e way to 14000rpm...

when rch gear 5, i'm already at abt 220.... (i'm actually leaning e bike) by gear 6 my meter usually hits 240 slowly but rpm still hav abt 2000 more to go.... But pls pls do not follow tis... ur pocket will hurt more then ur bike... :sian:

ya 1 more thing... is e 6th gear acc to slowly, u can try to play wth ur clutch... :smile: tis way will be abit faster to rch ur top... :bounce:

ok2eon... wah... 12,500 RPM in 6th and you're already at 240km/h? Sure ah? Mine seems to redline in 6th at 220km/h only.

yap...(or was it my meter spoiled???) mine hav power cut so can't redlining e bike... (but usually i'll force redline...) my mech don wanna remove for mi... he scare i'll lean e bike...(in e end super lean until piston lobang... :cry: ) urs is stock bike or????? i change quite a no. of things... lik carb, jetting, air box, yoshi end can.... etc... spend quite a boom on it... :sian: but i got my worth of trill....

oh....i will defenitely try it again...becos i realli believe that my bike will overtake s4 easily....jus that my bike is picking up speed slowly from 180km/h onwards.......maybe is becos of my skill...not good enuff...will keep on training........ :D on the tyre pressure part...wats the correct pressure for the front and rear?? my mechanic told me 200front...300 rear

hiya all, whats the stock front sprocket size?

 

btw i didnt know gsxr4 has got power cut, does it? if it does, at which speed or rpm does it cut in?

i jus bought my bike onli..my mechanic say the onli thing my bike was done to improve performance was the pipe was tong....i wan to fixed a yoshi leh....but no lobang yet...and i wan to do it the legal way

 

if i'm not wrong... it's S$500++ for e legalize slip-on...

if i din recall wrongly... MSP, L, N model doesn't hav powercut...

my old RR model doesn't allow e power to go above 14500rpm...

guys...i told u all abt that day i tried to whack my bike to max speed at malaysia....then now....my bike a bit prob liao leh...but hope its nothing major becos the sp i rode last time abt the same prob....now when i start my engine....i can hear from the engine sound that it started to vroom vroom normally...then a short while very slow....like going to die off...then vroom vroom again normally...then slowly again....saw the rpm meter and it goes up and down and up and down.....thought that it will be ok after a long warm up..i oso noticed that b4 i moved off...i switched on my headlight...the engine oso sound a bit weaker..then after a short while...return to normal again..i continued with my ride....then on a few occasions when i stop at traffic junctions...it suddenly die off.....no problem restarting the engine there.....jus that i feel that my bike now at idle mode like going to die off....which requires me to turn my throttle a few time to prevent it.. my sp last time oso the same prob when i bought it...then when bring to mechanic....he says prob is onli the carb dirty...flooded liao.....will it be the same prob for my G4 oso?? did anyone encounter the same problem as me....does the problem involve the battery...?? although i feel that my battery is ok...i hope its onli the carb dirty...pls help...thx

ermm...if i bring my bike for them to wash...must i tell the to retune the air intake or they will automatic do it for me evrytime after they wash the carb??

balancing... carb serviceing... change time chain... change 4t... change spark plugs... change oil filter... change air filter (get K&N)...

Hey guys.. yest i encounter this problem when i go start my bike it

started to run very weak like very low rpm n like wana died wan died like

tat for after 8 secs it really died off..tot it normal coz the day before i din

ride my bike but did went to warm it up for 5 mins(juz a normal warm-up

as i know i wldnt be riding for e day)

After tat e bike cant be start.. for e 1st few times it still got e cranking

sound.. then after heard e 'tick tick' sound like no batt liao.. after i off e

engine n try again.. it goes e same..

But after i pull my choke juz after 1 or 2 times e engine went roaring.. n

for e entire day of ride..everything was fine..

So wana ask u guys, do u think it e battery going liao or e tune n cabr is

dirty or any other causes?? :confused:

Hey Guys, I found out 1 Super duper flaw of GSXR....

It's in the wiring.. look out for a 2 pin electric socket connecting your rectifier to your witing harness..this socket is most prone to warping and hence shorting out your ciruits when we drag our RPM..So guys. next time something funny happened to the battery. Look out for the 2-PIN CONNECTOR.

 

For me, I cut both end of the connector and joined the wires straight..so no mattter how hard I rev. nothing will melt. Hope this helps you all..

Guys, u may wana check all your connector. Suspect some of ur melting..giving the electric problem.

 

Remember to thank me when I help u save $$ for a new battery or rectifier

Hmmm.....if thats the case i suspect tat may be wad happened to mine oso......... but my rectifier the back part got quite a few crack lines liao.... issit indication thats its gonna be spoilt anytime soon?
