best fuel saving = regular servicing and tune + wrist control.

----

This will probably rub a lot of folks up the wrong way but .....

Ever wondered why foreign magazines don't have all the 10000001 so called devices or additives at supposedly increase power, reduce fuel...blah blah blah.....

Cos they have authorities (such as Advertising Standards Authority or Federal Trade Commission) that checks and regulates an Ad's claims and misleading adverts. Even the big boys like Colgate-Palmolive (possibly one of the biggest companies in the world) have had their adverts taken down. Sg unfortunately for consumers (or fortunately for those sellers because it is a million dollar industry) has little such regulation.

In many countries, vehicle tax is determined by their emissions (either in whole or in part). Take a hypothetical case, ... say BMW can make a 2litre car that LITTLE bit more fuel saving/less emissions compared to their Merc counterpart. They can thus make their car cheaper to sell, and end consumers would save not only on their purchase price but also annual road tax.

Why would they not want to make deviceX or add additiveX (which frankly would cost peanuts because BMW would make millions of units not say the thousands that these small companies do.) to their vehicle?

No doubt some smart person would say these 'additions' have so and so patent and so forth. But there are lifespans on these copyrights, otherwise there would be only 1 brand of toothpaste, 1 brand of shampoo, 1 brand of baked beans ..... and so forth.

agree... but the foreign mag part, u r wrong, when i was in alaska last year there were alot of shops selling mag etc, n yes in their mag have all these so called 'fuel savers' but they have also said in those tiny fonts at the bottom that, 'these products works best with engine which hadnt been treated before' new or treated engines will not see any difference in savings of fuel'

well atleast they r honest

tested and proven!

well said mate....

so far if toking abt such products ...

my $$ is on broquet....!!!!

increase HP & save petrol....

u can feel the diff in HP in small bike (esp cub) but petrol saving mininmal

hw abt nano ball ....

does it reari save petrol...?

or increase HP

or both...?

Nano ball is cheaper than Broquet but Broquet is proven & tested to me by mi...

so my $$ is still on Broquet ...but u must have the $$ lah...lol:cheeky:

actually, i've tried FP60 / all STP products/revtec and BROQUET..

KR150

FP60~ save around 5% of petrol.. riding patterns same..

MOST STP products save 10% petrol.. Riding pattern become high rev same the engine feels more smoother.. but the best point of high rev is before you pump petrol, pour in 15ml like this..

Revtec~ reduces viberation, didn't check the FC as i'm still noob that time.. just got bike within 3 days? but heard from friend around 5% also..

BROQUET~ Save fuel the most, but.. DUN TAKE out from your fuel tank no matter wat.. i remember i can reached 250km (min) but after i take out from my fuel tank and put back, it become 200.. :( Of cuz, BROQUET vtec88 promise to change with mine, but lazy to take out.. :D cause, it's really good.. as you can see the drop in my FC.. oh yea..

last time 10Litres=250km

now 10Litres-200km

broquet is very good product :) i am using it and it helps to increase bike performance

Just got B/5T at $98 from Unique at toh guan. Combining with another voltage stabilizer product, i can see the speed improved from 70km/h to 75km/h at the constant 4k (corrected, not 5k) rpm. Note that broquet balls take a while to 'charge' the fresh pumped petrol though.

FYI i'm riding suzuki impulse 400, the old bike that still wild

a new science in the making...are u the latest einstein to land on earth?

we need some quantum breakthrough...in bike performance..

please confirm and repeat test..to show that your hypothesis is valid..good luck,

brouquet will be very happy...to hear that bike speed increased when rpm not changed..

anyway sound like hyperbole....:dot:

Maybe becoz i replaced the old problematic bearings too.

Anyway there's one interesting thread:

http://www.kawiforums.com/ninja-250r/106196-rpm-vs-speed-differences-whats-up.html

"I was riding my 08 250 today for a couple hours. I noticed in 6th gear the rpm was different for the same speed at different times. When I first started riding 60 mph was turning about 7k rpm. Later in the ride 60 mph seemed like it was turning too fast, so I looked and it was turning about 9k rpm (yes it was it 6th gear. I checked and also counted down as I geared down to first.) Then later, after the bike had sat for a while, it was back down to about 7k rpm at 60. What would cause this? Anyone else notice this issue? Something with the bike being hot?"

http://www.kawiforums.com/ninja-250r/106196-rpm-vs-speed-differences-whats-up-37.html

"It seems to me to be a temperature based issue with either the speedo or tach gauge. Now that it's cooler out in the afternoons when I get off work, the tach and speedo read the same (60mph @ 7000rpm). In the summer, it was reading 60mph at nearly 8000rpm. I think the speed was correct, and the tach was reading high, but I never bothered to get clocked to make sure. People have swapped out all kinds of parts to find the cure."

only a speed limiter is possible to save fuel.

power cut so that cannot go beyond 70km/h.

A few open questions..

Why are manufacturers spending billions of dollars on developing diesels, hybrids, fuel cells, etc, if something so simple that you can throw into your fuel tank / attach to your battery, fuel line etc can decrease fuel consumption so significantly?

Why do no vehicle manufacturers recommend such products or install them by default into the cars?

Why, in fact, do they recommend it NOT be fitted?

Why does Shell, the world largest corporation with budget for R&D exceeding the collective assets of every "fuel saving" company created a blend of petrol that only improves the f/c of a vehicle by 1 liter per 50 liters, or 2%?

Why don't car manufacturers or oil company throw those products into the oil tankers or cars and magically increase their product advantages, after all, these are all very competitive industries, that's why technologies that will improve the f/c such as Shell fuelsave/ techron/ hybrid cars or Mazda's Idle stop systems are developed.

I don't gain a cent if you don't buy those products or lose any money if you do, but I believe that money would be better spent than on snake oil salesmen who are out to make a quick buck on people's ignorance. To see facts about those miracle inducing products, you can check out http://www.fuelsaving.info/.
