Hi all, i just got an FS plate SP that's in a pretty decent condition. the only complaint i have about it is that its exhaust is bloody noisy.

is there any way i can silence it or at least soften it so that i can leave for sch without waking the entire neighbourhood?

Go to bike shop, tell them their problem, they will know what to do. Somebody somewhere before must have meddled with your SP exhaust.

Speaking of SP, i was riding back from work to home on the ECP and there was this bike in my mirror. I thought i saw an SP but it was so silent like a 4 stroke bike. Slightly noisier than my YBR. Then when he passed me, wah lao! It was an SP! and i was like, "Since when SP so quiet one?" It was an FP or FR plate cant remember.

tell them its bull sh*t, ive paid 1800++ for my bike's slip on termis pipe, and the only thing which improve is the bass sound

when bike has more air, the bike will run lean... which in lay man terms... run underpowered

i thought the leaner you run an engine the more power is produced. however at the expense of this leaner fuel air mix you get much higher temperatures which might be able to melt your internals and affect the durability of the engine in the long run.

Hi, i know this post is a month back, but just to give suggestions as i'm also riding sp.

Best is you go Ah Gua Lane (AGL) first, coz most of singapore workshop does not do this kind of mods.

- Check whether your SP stomach is like other stock SP stomach. How to check? just observe those SP around you. If your's is not the same shape, hi chance it's chamber stomach.

- If stomach same like any other sp, means previous owner mod the end can. Wat mod sia? Cut the end can, welded some kind of metal pole inside and can see holes on the pole. the lesser holes, the noisier. NO HOLE LAGI BEST!

- Can ask any AGL mech to take out the end can, and put fibre to silent it.

- Can also ask them to drill more holes and test the sound different.

BEST SOLUTION: save abit more, buy new end can there. Doesn't coz a bomb. Think it's around 100RM +- ( i think ).

Correct me if i'm wrong. It is up to my best of knowledge.

P.S: Noisier doesn't mean more power. (:
