at times I found some black viscose substance around the drain nut, first I thought its E.O. leak but it happen only for a short period of time. Later I realise that its chain lube not E.O., once you over saturate the chain with lube after long journey you'll find them all over the place.

Does you guys flush/rinse the engine before filling up with new E.O.?

good point bro...i hav the same issue here...for 3 days i tot my trusted mechanic didnt tighten the drain nut properly..only to my relieve when i check the EO still Full...its the chain lube:thumb:

:) cooling off day

I flushed my engine ONCE with the OWS engine flush when i changed my EO back last year. The EO flow out like water. Damn disgusting like diarroheoa with "blobs" of engine oil. After flushing also the engine dont feel any difference.

Perhaps the interior of the engine is cleaner? But is it still recommend for flushing once in a blue moon?

hmmm I wonder does a donut shape gasket would help you? Else you find a nut with the same length and thread size, shove it in?

Damage? No lah. You dont want to open up the drain bolt when the oil is hot to prevent yourself from being scalded.

By the time all the oil drips out, the engine casing is cool enough to handle.

Win.

Check if the threads are damaged. You may need to rethread the hole.

Rule of thumb, clockwise to tighten, anti clockwise to loosen. Never forget this fundamental rule. And refrain from over tightening a nut or screw. Rethreading is a real *****.

Rubbish. For us, where riding season is all year round, the oil doesnt have a chance to sludge.

And even then, after an oil change, any sludge will be flushed by new engine oil.
