good helmet for lower budget??

hi ppl,

 

would just like to ask for any recommendations for good helmets? i have a tight budget, at most $100++. i am considering a ff, but still thinking if it'll be comfortable for me, because of the heat from wearing helmet. open face n flipups are under consideration too.

 

so if anyone can help me, good helmets for that budget. any kind also can ah.

Hi, currently i using 1... haha n0t a bad helmet la.. but heavy and abit noisy when riding ard 90km/h... if u dun mind, it is a shiok helmet wif shades haha

OGK FF4, super light (even lighter than the current FF5) and good air flow makes it more comfortable than my Pilot open face... But then helmet is personal thing, check it out first before deciding.

jonsng, yeah i saw your review. still got shades somemore, and its black. seems good.

 

joey_sfb, OGK FF4 i saw at regina, ard 200 right? havent tried it though.

 

i might going down to LAB/Regina tmr to try, will buy if i see a comfortable one.

this helmet now going for $100 in motoworld, just bring a very chuiz helmet to trade in. i kob 1 from fren, w/o visor some more..

hey bro.. it will depend on what is the purpose of the helmet.. if its just everyday riding in sg.. i will think that an open face is more than sufficient..

personally i have a flipup, a full face and 2 open face.. i only use my full face when i'm going for tour .. more often than not my open face will be widely used..

 

as for full face.. i will rather you get a good open face with $100 then get a lower end full face .. years ago, a senior forum member told me this.. "save up a bit more and invest in a better full face this way you will save the cost (time and effort for finding a helmet, as well as the amount of money forked out) of having to look for another helmet"

Trax is selling FF for $185. Quite ligh and flip-up too. Better be safe than worry about our heat. U will get used to it. I wear a FF too. No regrets.
