I did not offend the EMAS crew nor the LTA 3 wheeler marshaller. :cheeky:

The Emas crew just stated they have to get my bike away from expressway or else it will cause hazard to other road users. The Lta marshaller just escort behind EMAS lorry and did not take down any particulars. Once reach the nearest exit and parking space, one of the crew just asked em to sign something i dunno what paper la :cheeky:

that pc of paper u sign is to indemnify them that they towed ur bike to this place (also cover their ass, they cant jus anyhow tow to anywhere) and that they are no damages from the towing etc.

even if you are not there, they will still tow your bike, and place that pc of paper on ur bike. if such a case happens, jus give emas a call ask them where the bike. they will need ur ic number, bike plate num and also time and place of breakdwon in oreder to trace where the bike is towed to.

this is jus for info to other riders here, not jus to reply you. :)

Just to share an incident that happened to me recently on the ECP. My bike broke down and I stopped on the road shoulder while waiting for the tow truck to arrive. As I had expended some time trying to restart the bike before resorting to calling the tow truck, EMAS came by and wanted to tow my bike off the highway. I protested that the tow truck was on the way and EMAS needn't trouble themselves. However their Control was unwilling to budge and they said it was a road hazard. I relented as they had a case in point. Unfortunately, EMAS' recovery vehicle didn't seem equipped to handle a big bike; their officers appeared unsure and I was getting quite uncomfortable about them towing it. I protested that the truck was coming, but their Control was insistent. My worst fears came true when they dropped my bike and it sustained several deep scratches. At this, the EMAS guy was very apologetic, and I was understandably pissed. He were very nice though, and even passed me his personal number and told me to call him so that he can reimburse me personally for damages. These guys don't earn much and I think it would have caused a couple hundred bucks, so I told him that I'd let it go, but he should impress upon his Control next time when he needed to tow a big bike, that it shdn't be done without the proper equipment.

It was a painful experience for me, but if ever you are faced with this situation, just ask the EMAS guys if they are willing to take responsibility should they cause damages to your vehicle. Of course, doing this is purely at the risk of your vehicle remaining a road hazard on the road shoulder.
