Had been riding the planet since 2000... Been loving it since then. Last endurance ride of 680km to Perak Kuala Kangsar ie. http://www.perakriversafari.com.my ... on 01-May-09. If superbikes had seen me at Seremban R&R... well that's me. But need to get more of this bike since 120km/h on the north-south highway is insufficient. At that speed Malaysian lorries and buses tends to irritate you as you will not be able to overtake or get away from them. In Singapore feels that planet is everythig but in Malaysia highway the planet is nothing; a loser. Wondering why Malaysia planet can reach 140km/h but not for Singapore planet bike. Will be coming down to excel to check on bike for enlightenment. If planet can reach 140km/h will renew COE else bye.. bye .. planet... Maybe, terra adventure since claim can reach at least 130km/h even though 4 stroke with less power.

Will miss planet if that is the case since planet had not been given me headaches for nearly 10years for now, eventhough had fallen from bike for 4 times due to unforeseen circumstances such as releasing my emotions on her. This bike is build to lasts with the best design ever.

 

check your sprocket ratios, should be 14front, 43 rear. mine does 140kmh no

sweat. with more to go if i reduce the rear to 42.

Ive been looking into purchasing a Cagiva Planet on the basis that it saves me a handy chunk of change 1500 over the Mito. Does anyone have any experience with this machine? Supposedly it is essentially a 6 speed Mito without the sporty styling ;-

Valve R.I.P dated Jun’09. Now still surviving without valve. Detection? Small amount of 2T leakage from valve, hope planet can survive for another 3mths before rectifying. Really luv this bike and is a sincere companionship of nearly 10yrs. With such condition the bike could at times reach 120km/h as seen on the speedometer but only after playing half-clutch. At 6th gear the speed will drop to abt 95-100km/h.

 

Piston kit with one ring gives more power as compared to 2 rings but heard a 2 rings piston kit may lasts longer. Well, only 1 ring kit is available in Singapore. Looking for gianelli pipe for planet, does anyone knows where can this be purchased?
