Any bros out there tried changing their bike signal lights to LED strip? Know where i can find and whether can just connect the stock signal wires with the LED wire or need special connector or relay? Or any mech with this type of experience to recommend? Thanks.

the flash is determined by the impedance of bulb and the condenser that support it accordingly...

when u change to led..the impedance changed..... so u have to change the condenser accordingly to match it in other to flash the rate u wan again...ekke

Analogue blinker (or flasher) needs to sense the electrical load of the signal lamps to control the blinking. Such blinkers can't sense the load of the LED. You need to replace your stock blinker with an electronic one.

That is because the blinker is sensing the load only from the front signal lamps. Don't you find the blinking is faster than normal ? That is because with only front stock signal lamps, the load is lighter.

yaya.. true, its Faster, now i try replacing the blinker to an electronic one. thanks a lot. really appreciate the info.

guys, don't just get electronic flasher/condenser. Get solid state ones. There are those electronic ones in the market that flashes at a constant rate regardless of led or filament bulb, but they still require a high minimum amount of current to work.

Solid state electronic flashers are the ones that do not really care about the current flowing through them. But at the same time they are also more expensive.

Solid state flashers can be DIYed, but the power consumption of all lights need to be taken into consideration when designing the circuit.

I jus tool a digital flasher in korea - need to test if you are keen - Some high end led siginal & stop bulbs also available - this are very high stuff wif warning canceller & no need to change the flasher relay bec the resistor is builtin now.

There is someone out there for me

I know there is someone out there

I know she is waiting so patiently yeah

Can you tell me her name?

(Somebody tell me her name)

This life-long search is gonna drive me insane

How does she laugh?

How does she cry?

What's the color of her eyes?

Does she even realize I'm here?

Where is she? Where is she? Where is she?

Where is this beautiful girl?Who is she? Who is she?

Who is gonna complete my world?

Hi guys. This would be my first post so please be kind! i have experienced this problem before and have successfully rectified it! hope it works for you guys.

Note: this is for DIY people. but if you wanna have a go, i wish you the best of luck! and also cannot hold this against me ok? warning given already.

another way for a work around is to purchase resistors which i think you can get at sim lim tower.

what kind of resistor?:

the first thing that you should know is the wattage of the original bulbs. usually signal lights have a load of 10watts. and LED lights have a lower load. so actually the bike is sensing that the LED lights have little or no load at all. therefor it goes into hyperflashing mode.

you would need to get the same wattage resistors but with little resistance. (eg. 10w 0.5ohm or less. it worked with 0.5ohm but i think can go smaller...) the resistors are quite large like 50mm x 10mm x 10mm, much bigger than than the ones we use in poly and uni! haha!

so got 4 resistor already, then what?:

the resistor has to run PARALLEL to the light and NOT in series. all of the new LED signal lights must have them so to let the electronics think that there are loads for all 4 signal lights.

now you should be done!

happy DIY-ing!
