I Was Caught In A Lane Splitting Accident 2 Months Ago.

 

It Was Drizzling & There Was A Terrible Jam At PIE Due To Accident In The Front. All 4 Lanes Didnt Move At All So I Lane Split Around 40kmh Then Suddenly One Car With A FEMALE Driver Inside Moved And She Moved Slightly To The Left And Blocked My Path So I Had To Jam Brake And I Fell.

 

I Didnt Hit Her Car At All But I Fell Because I Had To Avoid Her Car. So She Came Out Of The Car And Said That Its Not Her Fault Because She Didnt Hit Me But I Said Its Her Fault Because I Fell Due To Her Actions But She Die Die Dun Wanna Admit Her Mistake. I Did Admit That I Wasnt Suppose To Lane Split But It Was A Complete Jam & The Cars Were Not Moving.

 

You Cant Expect A Biker To Wait Behind The Cars And Move Slowly Bit By Bit Right?!

 

Then She Doesnt Wanna Pay A Single Cent. My Mirrors Were Shattered. My Fairing Got Scratched And Brake Lever, Footpeg All Damaged And I Got Scratches Too Lorr.

 

I Wanted To Report To Police And Also Make A Claim Against Her But I Was Afraid That TP Might Gimme Points Instead For Self Skidding Or Lane Splitting.

 

In The End I Just Kept Quiet And Suck Thumb Lorr. HAHAHA.

 

So The Moral Of The Story Is JUST LANE SPLIT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

 

i had a similiar accident before, i wasnt even lane splitting. and i had the right of way. driver turned out and i had to e-brake and i fell. decided to pursue the case, ended up paying for not only my repairs, but lawyer and other misc fees.

 

i should say you made the right choice by keeping quiet instead of pursuing.

i always do lanespitting but..

while i lanesplit my mind was tiinking hope tat there will not any buggers suddenly change lane..lolx so lanesplit slowly as eu got time & distance to do E brake when any blo0dy vehicle appear..& got time to HORN them to the Core!
