Anyone can help me for guidelines to Ipoh from Singapore?

 

i need to know where the best stoping for rest and petrol top up?

 

i only know from Singapore to Malacca.

 

Example, after GP Esso, then following stop is

>Pagoh R&R est 150km traveled~

>Ayer keroh R&R 220km traveled~

 

Need help guidelines beyond this...

>??Rawang??

 

And for the Ipoh exit, is that the sign board stated Ipoh exit? or else name?

i going on 16th december friday morning 9.30 to 10am will be at GP esso~

eric 28, depending which part of Ipoh you intent to be, there are 2 exit from the PLUS expressway. The first one is before Ipoh, exit Simpang Pulai, then you will reach exit Ipoh south. There are actually another exit after Ipoh south, Ipoh North.

 

Take Simpang Pulai exit if you intent to be around The airport, Gopeng Rd, Kampar Rd, Pasir Putih, City center.

 

Take Ipoh South exit if you are going Ipoh Garden, Bercham, Tasek, etc.

 

Ipoh north if you going to Jelapang.

 

There are a lot of R&R area after Malaca. If you intent to bypass KL, use the Elite expressway (to KLIA) after seremban. There are one R&R after seremban and another after KLIA turnoff. Further north, R&R is at Sungei Buloh, Rawang, and others.

Bro, Ipoh south is where you temporary exit the expressway. there is a toll plaza across the expressway. After about a few kilometer then you re enter the expressway, another toll plaza (Jelapang toll plaza) across the expressway, on the way further north. Along this strecth, there are a exit to Jalan Kuala kangsar before reaching Jelapang Toll plaza.

road safety to take notice when travelling on the highway... now got major construction along the way till Nilai then after sham alam interchange all the way up until where i also dunno cos i went up alone 3weeks ago..

 

direction to ipoh

if by woodsland checkpoint,

1. jln wong ah fook

2. jln sukai all the way up until u see noth-south highway sign showing KL. i chose this route becos it is shorter and the road condtion is better compare to the road if u go by holiday inn direction

 

if by tuas,

1. all the way up until the 2nd toll and keep left heading towords KL

 

at the highway

1. all the way up until Nilai interchange.if u dunno which exit, its the 2nd Nilai exit which shows KLIA and Sham Alam (Exit 214)

2. once on the new highway(E6), go all the way to Sham Alam then follow the sign say go Ipoh. then u will go into (E1)

3. on E1 go all the way until u see a toll plaza. go thru the toll then exit on the 1st exit u can see until u see a T- junction with traffic light. turn left is to got Ipoh Garden and Jusco. u can see the jusco shopping center very big near the rd.

 

that was the first time i went up so far covering 555km in about 5hrs including 2 fuel stops at seremban and tapah, in a single day.

 

if this is the 1st time u travelling so far and alone, best is to travel in the day so u can see the signboards better.

 

the road on E1 is not very straight but u can take the corners at ard 200kph

 

anything i missed out pls add on.. enjoy ur trip

2nd exit is the place where i wanna to go..

my friend will meet me at the exit...

haha.. ok... take care and ride safely.. rainy season coming.. i met a heavy downpour when i was on my way back just several km after tapah.. heavy until cant see the lights infront. just be careful... when u at ipoh, remember to try the famous beansprout chicken and hor fun.. also the pong piah very nice.. haha..
