DIY carbon fibre panels

I am thinking of DIY my bike fairing with carbon fibre.. Youtube got video clips teaching how-to... but anyone knows where to buy the stuff locally? better still someone can teach me

At best you will achieve a carbon fibre (CF) look only, and it can never achieve the strength and rigidity of a real CF kit.

 

Before DIY with CF, start with fiberglass first because the molding process is the same and fiberglass fabrics are a fraction of the CF cloth.

THey are a wholesale supplier of fibreglass and carbon fibre material. I've purchased a small amount of fibreglass material from them before, about 5kg of resin and several metres of the matting. Very affordable, wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be.

 

Best if a group of you band together to buy a similar quantity or more. THey usually don't deal in small quantities, so dont bother if you just want 500ml of the resin and 1 or 2m of the matting. I emailed them and the guy was quite helpful. Cash and carry.
