Any Fazer 1000 rider interested in original R1 01 model titanium exhaust??

I saw a few FZ1 rider using it so just asking if anyone here interestes?

Get better mid range and top speed at the expense of losing the pick up.....

I am back from SK... they do the engine guards for the bike, but then you have to bring your bike down cos unlike S4, they do not have a ready made mould for our bikes, so have to make on the spot. The price is 240 per set... Dunno if make more, got discount a not... take about 4 hours to complete one set by the way... Sorry to spoil the party but I got the original accessories engine guard from Hong Leong at almost the same price. Refer to photo. I got the black colour one to match my frame. Unless Seng Kwang makes something better than this, then I have nothing to say.

hey... its just a matter of another choice of item at the same price... the one that seng kwang makes like C shape sticking out.. still contemplating which is a better choice.. bike shop advise me to get the original one since the price is so close.. any other opinions???

now its up to u to c which one u prefer since both around same price

seng kwang is lifetime warrenty wor, if ganna small knock, they will try to knock it back for u foc

btw have to leave ur bike 3hrs for them to fix

The one from Yamaha has better clearance if u're the hard cornering type. The one from Seng Kwang has poor clearance when cornering hard, as it protrudes out too much from the engine.

 

I got a engine from Germany at abt S$160. Looks almost like the one from Seng Kwang but better clearance as its closer to the engine. Go the following website to check it out.

This engine guard is made off steel not stainless steel. Powder coated in silver or black. I had the misfortune of dropping my bike in the carpark once and the guard saved the engine from any scratch or damage.

 

But in the end, its ur choice b'cos u're going to fix it on ur bike.

best is choose a design u like cos i think it would be difficult to sell away next time if u find u dun like the design anymore

Nope...definately not legal although is a Yamaha pipe.

That pipe is not meant for Fazer so it will be deem as illegal.

just wondering what engine oil you guys recommend for the fazer1000?

Not sure if this topic discussed before but my bike should be ready in about 10-15 days so just want to find out from you guys..

for 2 oil changes, mineral oil lor.. for "run-in" mah.. but then no diff for me cos I just bring her for long sprints all the time.. heheh.. the power is still so scary.. hehe... can accelerate faster then TP also.. heheh...

Just sharing. I almost bought a Hepho BEcker engine guard for the fazer. Was quite sturdy and heavy but was too protruding for my liking.

 

Ended up fixing frame sliders instead. Am considering buying the original Yamaha guard. Looks quite good. Do I get it direct from Hong Leong?

 

Any of you guys have any recommendations/ views on huggers and belly pans for the fizzy?

Hugger wise, Ermax looks good. Red Fox will have clearance problem if u change ur tyres to more rounded ones like Sportec M1. Not sure abt Power bronze(??) or the yamaha ones.

 

If you fix a engine guard, u can almost forget abt fixing the belly pan, though the Yamaha belly pan looks good and is possible to fit with the Yamaha engine guard.

Yes, go to Hong Leong direct, order & place a deposit. But must warn you, prepare to wait. It took me almost 2 months for the engine guards to arrive. Original hugger is available from Hong Leong also but the price is... Alternatively, get aftermarket ones from Pyramid Plastics.
