hi all,

Anyone DIY the installation of headlight switch for Fazer 1000?

I am wondering which wire to tap for the switch.

u wanna make a switch for the low beam light issit?

1)look behind the 3-pin plug right behind the H4 bulb.

2)the centre wire is for low beam.

3)see the colour of the wire.

4)cut the same colour wire at the side where the whole bunch of wires come out from the main fuse box.

5)wire tat to a switch.

for fz6, the wire is green/black combo colour.

for fzs1, not sure though.

The wiring for FZS1 is also green/black. There are two bulb for FZS1, centralised to somewhere ( which i din manage to locate). I wanna cut one wire (the centralised wire) instead of 2 at the connector to the bulb. I got the electric schematic which i think it is linked to the headlight relay, just need to confirm before i make any mistake.

yah the centralised bunch of wires should be at the side going to the front before splitting to the left and right bulb. remove the side pannels at the front cowling and u should be able to locate that green/black wire.

By the way mine is an 04 model with the dark colour engine block.

Top of my must get list is an Arai astro j fullface.. followed by motovation frame

sliders and carbon fibre engine cover.Hehe must protect the rider first, then the bike.

By the way i traded in my stock metzeler tires for the Michelin Pilot sport(low profile cos im short ass. 1.7m) Anybody knows if this tire any good? i had to top up

$230 for it. Not sure if kena kotok.

HAPPY RIDING ALL.

michilin pilot sport is definately a better tyre than MEZ4 in terms of grip. price difference between the 2 tyres are around $100 - $120.

I had intended to get motovation sliders, but due to some manufacturer's error in dimemsions, the sliders are in fact short then their previous stocks, so I return the stuffs to Ian... if you wanna get, find Ian and compare to those on his bike before commmiting, ya..

I thin teh carbon thing for the engine are useless, fro looks onli.. get real engine guards, ya...

Hi Bro mokamoka

Thanks once again for the help.

Guess will get the engine guard instead.

Which one you using? From yamaha or Seng kwang?

Cheers

I am using those from Hepco & Becker.. well.. seems ok to me.. as long as it does its job of protecting the engine... the ones from Seng Kwang no that nice cos will greatly limit your cornering.... Thats my opinion...
