hi all betwween R6 and Fz1 ???

what theer difference ...

can i sport with fz1, or can i tour r6 like go trunk road ???

*sorry side track a bit

The FZ1 is not like R6. Fz1 borrowed the R1's engine but a de-tuned one.

With regards to the bad reviews.

1) Handlebars vibration - Yes it does. It is rather sensitive to the road's conditions.

2)Gears are clunky. - Yes again... it is clunky. It feels notchy when you shift gears.

3) Mirrors - I think they are excellent. I have an excellent view. I'm cool with it. :bounce:

Personally, I've tried 270km before Reserve light comes on for a full tank of 21 litres. Reserve tank will have ard 4 litres. :bounce:

actually i think for hardcore riders, handlebar vibration solely due to high sensitivity to the road surface is considered a 'plus' point. seems they like to label this as 'feel'. its hard vibrations on the handlebar caused solely by the engine that is unwanted.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

ekkeke first of all i am not a fazer owner but hop[ing to get a fazer600 like u.. having class two on may too.... wonder whether is it @ cdc like mine???

Nolah taking mine at SSDC on May 20th.

Took four times to pass Practical 3 ...almost give up.

Passed my Practical 1 and 2 the first time.

Actually I am deciding between a Fazer and a TMAX...an automatic scooter.. heard a lot of good reviews of the TMAX too... would like to try different type of bikes..scooters, scramblers, road bikes. Only bike I never try is cruisers..got nothing against cruisers just that it's difficult to squeeze. Currently I am riding a scrambler... looking for a more comfortable and relax bike for my Class 2.

So you must have ridden a Fazer since you are taking from CDC. So how comfortable is it?

Gsxxer,

Thanks for the info. Saw another posting by you of a Fazer with a sidebox. Is that your bike? So tell me is it easy to squeeze with the sideboxes and Top box?

Did you bought your Fazer from Looi's? Got my last 2 bikes from them. Their service is ok but kinda far for me. I live in Sembawang by the way.

take yr time to choose!!! but i would prefer Fazer600 over Tmax cos i dun like scooters.... the bike is comfortable... the best thing i like about fazer is that it is damn light... u dun beileve it it like a bigger varadero 125.... kekekeke but weith plenty of torque and power more important it can go touring..... btw if u taking Tmax might be a bit behind when going touring... :pity:

Fazer600 R6 Engine with olhins suspension u will nvr get wrong (that what i think) but if u wan to double confirm pm fazer600 or supertoad they r best to highlight to u co they r fazerer.... kekeke fazerer..

diouf,

I've been a long time customer of looi's for quite sometime already and I was about to buy my Fazer from them. but the price they quoted me was too high to be desired. I must say insurance is a huge issue when buying a class 2 bike. even for a naked bike like the Fazer. Looi's is excellent in service and reliability I like. Will go there for future servicing. I think Mr Lee will be pissed with me.... hahahah

It's at all time high of $1800. anyway I bought it at Southern. My Colleague is an old classmate of his, so I got it cheaper and also without getting chopped, if u understand that southern is a "chopper"

Well, the pic of the Fazer with side boxes is not my bike. :D It's a pic from the internet from some european guy.

My fazer is in yellow/black. I'm thinking of getting side boxes... shoppping ard. Getting crash bars too.. fundamentals lor. :bounce:

Dun think the Fazer 600 is the R6 engine... i understand that it is the old thundercat engine. hmm....

Do u fazer riders go back to yamaha hong leong to do servicng? I went back there yesterday, their service standards are not bad, can give it a try. All my problems, they have managed to repair, now ok liao & they even wash ur bike for u. Abit costly but will definitely go back there again. Can give it a try, not bad.

How much for a normal servicing (spark plugs, oil, oil filter)? I don't have any more warranty, so would servicing cost more?

They have this servicing package for fazer600 at $130, fazer1000 think is $150, but i bring my own oil & spark plugs,

My servicing yesterday cost me $191.60 for oil filter, change rear brake pads, carb balancing, & overall check up, but attitude of their mechanic ok lah, quite friendly, at least pay $$ also shiok. Compare to when i take my super4 to bo*n si*w to service, expensive & also attitude problem. Last time i ever go there.
