Comparing Bajaj Pulsar 200 with this Bike currently. Both of your review/comments on this bike looks promising.

Hi leaper congrats as for Manual just showing the basics only nothing much both bike Pulsar n Tiger are awesome no doubt about it but it depend on u as for the power wise i don't know about Pulsar bike haven't been riding it but as for the Tiger i can say quite good for a 2B bike.My bike i only change the outlook EG Rim lining n seat cover only n the tire quite the same with Pulsar but u can go bigger a bit,as for the maintenance wise should be no prob so far soo good for me maybe u can ask PolarisX, hes the first Tiger rider here,feel free to ask hope we can give u the answer Cheersss..Chaos out...

Hey leaper... yeah chaos is right about me being the 'first tiger rider here' HAHA!! it rhymes!!

 

Ok anyway my bike is about 1 year 4 mths now and just passed the 13000km mark this month (considered quite low-milage I think). I mean everything here so far so good. Almost all the Tigers in Singapore so far I see is 100% stock, cause got hardly any after-market products to accessorize it. So if you just want a good reliable bike for transport then can consider the Tiger. Ok I will say that pulsar also not bad la, since I heard the fuel-economy is VERY VERY good plus the stock tyre is tubeless also. So depends on what you want.

 

ATTENTION TIGER BROS: Ok my original headlamp bulb blew like 6 mths after I first bought my bike, then after that everytime I go to bike shop change to good german halogen bulb ($10) but it blows every 2 mths now. This is like going to by my 4th change! I scared my electrical got problem, cause cannot be every time blow right? HELP!!! (right now I riding with high-beam for past few days cause no time to go bike shop change... -_-)

PolarisX i think u need to get Ur bike check bro cos, i think there's something wiring shorting at Ur headlamp compartment don't let it prolong scared might affect other parts.where do u live bro cos maybe i can recommend a shop that i always go,hes specialize in Honda Tiger.hes been doing Tigers for Bukit Batok driving ctr as their sole servicing contract shop do let me know i can pm u the shop Number OK cheerss...chaos out

 

Leaper as for the fuel consumption for Pulsar its very good but don't forget Pulsar got bigger Fuel tank 18L as for Tiger only 13L can clock u about 450km but depend on Ur throttle discipline can clock a bit more hope to hear from u Leaper

And as for aftermarket parts should be no problem with $$$ anything is possible to mod the bike try to goggle in Indonesia for Tiger u will amazed at what they done to their Tiger cos parts can be ordered to spore same as the Dudes from pulsar they also take order from Indonesia to be shipped here

Hey bro. Hmm, I think 200 kg should be ok, cause I am 70 kg, got pillion my friend 120 kg on my 200 cc Tiger no problem. Just that the pick up will be slow la. So i think Twister 250 should be no problem as well. But here, the riders mostly ride Tiger, so you might want to check if there is Twister thread on the forum, the bros can give u better opinion.

Hey bro chaos. Woah I didnt know got shop specialise in Tiger. BBDC using Tiger meh?! Oh anyway thanks, but I'll let you know again if I need the number for your guy because right now, this morning I sent my bike to Unique Motors (tog guan) for MAJOR servicing. I can sense got problems cropping up, so better if I can fix them early. I doing alot of things, including the knocking back of my tank after some ^%$#@% driver knocked down my bike about 3 weeks ago. I will update here on all the things I change of my bike.

So far right now doing at unique:

- changing to tubeless tyre

- knock back tank + spray job

- Engine oil, spark plug

- handle bar

- brake-hose & brake pad

- headlight

- signals (cause one side broke off)

- steering cone

- check (and align if necessary) the forks

- service carb n filter

etc etc cant remember now... UPDATE SOON on my status of TIGER

Yeah Patrick, PolarisX is right coz im also weighing close to 100kg and if together wth my wife come close to 160kg but so far got no problem as this bike pick up quite good,u can try the bike physically at Ban hon bros at the Ang Mo Kio ind pk 3 coz they still selling the bike

 

PolarisX yeah BBDC using the old type of Honda Tiger model, no problem anything just Pm me ok so how u install the HEL brake line?Is it good?chaos out

bro as the price i think would be differ from last time i bought $7k OTR wth insurance as the current COE hikes but i doubt it pass the 8k mark but it subject to ur age n yrs of riding exp bro feel free to ask hope to answer ut queries bro chaos out....

Patrick, i think ur insurance wont be expensive juz like mine ard 200++ 2nd party wth fire n theft coz im juz older 1 yr only now the problem is the COE DAMN HIGH even for Motorcycle ridiculous price man $2k maybe the LTA should break down on the CC people riding and price of COE depend wth the class of the motorcyle just like the Car category Haizz wont be surprise one day Motorcycle COE 10k Pay n pay man

I'm currently taking my licence, thinking of getting my self a bike with good fuel consumption. Kindda noob about bike, coz almost none of my friends ride.

 

Compared to 2 strokes bike, kr and sp, is tiger better (FC wise)?

 

Coz i have to travel to and fro Tampines to Woodlands.

Hi Dhiah, good luck with Ur License,as for Ur queries all i can say the FC for Tiger roughly 400 to 450 km for a 13L tank depend on Ur throttle discipline as for my distance From Punggol to Tuas no problem and u don't have to worry about 2T like the other bikes u mention that's the main thing about 4 stroke engine and the bikes u mention is all sports full fairing type and they will drink Ur petrol like water If u looking for FC bike,there's a lot of 4 stroke bike to choose from, hope this answer Ur question.
