Dear fellow 2t riders. this is my contribution.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

JASO FC is a performance quality classification for two stroke engine oil, for engines of Japanese origin.

Oils are granted the JASO FC certification by the Japanese Automotive Standards Organization, under the test sequence M345. JASO FC is the highest rating for 2-stroke oils. JASO FC oils leave little deposits and create very little smoke. They also pass lubricant and detergent tests. A JASO FC oil will have a rectangular seal. In the upper quarter of the rectangle will be a serial number and the lower three quarters will just have the letters M.

Again, there is an official JASO seal if the oil has been independently tested. The seal is a rectangle; in the upper quarter of the rectangle will be a serial number, and the lower three quarters will just have the letters MA. JASO FC -has now been superseded as the highest rating by JASO FD.

JASO FA – original spec established regulating lubricity, detergency, initial torque, exhaust smoke and exhaust system blocking.

JASO FB – increased lubricity, detergency, exhaust smoke and exhaust system blocking requirements over FA.

JASO FC – lubricity and initial torque requirements same as FB, however far higher detergency, exhaust smoke and exhaust system blocking requirements over FB.

JASO FD - same as FC with far higher detergency requirement.

FD - Castrol power 1 2t from lab at $8 (probably mineral)

FC - Mobil 1 racing 2t which is FULLY-SYNTHETIC

the cheapest fully synthetic 2t is probably the Sprinta 5000 across the causeway. RM40, SGD17, 1 litre bottle. JASO FC.

best is by trial and error. try different 2t until u find the one u like. for me i changed from motul 510 to 710. BIG DIFF. after using 710 super smooth. power wise i dnt know cos it wnt be fair to judge by feeling. by smoothness is clearly very obvious. when changing the type of 2t make sure empty the 2t tank first and put in the new kind. effect is almost immediate. once u get better one, or the correect one. u nvr want to change back.

If I hit you and you hit me, and I hit you back and you hit me back, and go on, you see, that goes on ad infinitum. It just never ends. No need empty if you lazy. Just mix. How to empty the 2T reservoir? Buy a suction pump from Daiso and pump it out. I personally wouldn't bother though.

I've been using this Malaysian brand Hi-Rev 2T for more than half a year and it's amazing for the price. The 2T viscosity is almost the same as Esso Gold or Motul 710 but the price is amazing. That's because you can only get it from Malaysia.

Passed my inspections with no excessive smoke emission and the 2T smells great. No funny cheap 2T smell. The performance like I said shouldn't differ much with Esso gold. It semi synthetic unlike the two other brands which are fully synthetic oils but like I said the burn is clean with little to no smoke. There's a few models for this 2T. I've been using the 700 which was the highest and most expensive at RM18+. I bought a bottle of the newer version 800 to give it a try which costs RM26.

Agree, that brand "Total Hi-Perf" 2T (Semi Synthetic) I did use before was recommended by previous owner (it seem hard to get in SG) now soon going try the new brand "Elf" 2T (Semi Synthetic) so does any of you try it before? :)

I tried motorex and maxima 927. 927 feels smoother and smells nicer but more smoke and oil coming out of pipe. I want to try maxima k2 next.

Hi dineze, if got more smoke does it pass the inspection? I thought that "Maxima 927" is Pre-Mix should not be got more smoke... :(

By the way, how is your "Maxima K2" (it Pre-Mix?) results also where did you bought it & how much does is cost? :o

Haha smells...Sniff Sniff.. Its about the viscosity used & can it adapt to your riding style also ur engine block & piston could be prevented from CEASED.. Choose wisely & spent wisely :)
