Hi guys noticed that there is a pronounced ticking sound when the engine is running, even end when revving through the gears on normal riding, does your 13 str produced this sound?

Sound seems to comes from the left side near the red colour R side faring

Apparently there are legendary mechanics within the triumph community in Singapore. Problem is that it's a closed community only for triumph bike owners.

Hi all, I just bought the 2014 z1000 and still running in. Vibrations at the handlebar will start to creep when the rpm goes above 3000 rpm. Its my first time buying a brand new and class 2 bike so i am not too sure if its normal. Anyone had the same experience?

I may be wrong but vibration above 3000rpm doesn't sound right for an inline 4 engine. Get it checked by e Kawasaki agent. By the way, u're in the wrong place to ask this question. This is the Triumph 675 thread :)

Hi guys,

Im a new triumph street triple rider. May I know where do u guys recommend to do the servicing for this bike and how much does it approximately cost?

Im also using a Arrow Low Boy exhaust full system bought over from the previous owner. I understand its not street legal but what are the chances of this being caught by LTA? Is it recommended to go back to stock exhaust or shall I juz continue riding with this exhaust?

Mah, Sporting... to name a few..

Cost of servicing depends on what you need isn't it?

Chances of being caught... well.. depends on where you ride & frequency of rides & erm...luck?

Hi fellow STR brothers ! I've a question, is it normal for the fan to come on for just like after 5-10 mins of riding ?

A bit of history:

Previously, did a coolant change and flush. while doing so, the mech flush the coolant as per norm and he also sprayed straight at the radiator. Didn't suspect anything wud go wrong as i thot it's normal. A day after the change, bike was peeing alot of coolant from the bottom(cud be due to too much coolant) and eventually, it leaked from the radiator. Went to rectify the prob and costed me $350+ to patch up the radiator which had holes that caused the coolant to escape thru e radiator. After that, bike continued to pee off some coolant until, the reservoir is below minimal lvl up to now. So not sure if this causes the fan to come on very fast...? But the temp bar is always 2 bars away from the max lvl, e same as before it has this coolant issue. Other than that, this beast is pure awesomeness !

I had issues with the cooling system on my old STR - it was usually due to air in system.

There is a small bleed screw left hand side just above the rocker cover, in line on the top coolant hose. After opening this air escaped then fluid.

Bike was Ok after, but it kept persisting.

Strange really, sometimes after a ride it would empty the header tank (under the seat) all over the floor.

Never really got to the bottom of it.

Bike was 2009 model.

Forever the Foreigner
