But the shop seem quite run down now. Everything is so haphazardly arranged. The pets (all species)used to be very tamed, for the previous stuffs are real pet lovers. But now... :giddy: not so sure.

yap i agree. i still prefer pet safari at east pt! big and nice! but then i once saw some hamhams bleeding due to other hamhams bully then those asst also neber see or check. i went to tell them and they told me later they will attend~ Liew not immediately meh? haii.. see liao aso heart pain :cry:

Ok, I go see one of these days... Mummy bully the babies last night again. 2 babies both bleeding... Now I "quarantined" the mummy... Put her in an empty tank, threw some carrots inside and leave her alone there... Luckily the babies are all alright, still can run around and eat after all the hurt...

female hammies are like that... they are very dominant and only some can live together with another female peacefully... get another tank for the mummy.. :smile:

 

i have a pair of hammies that grew up with one another very peacefully.. but.. now.. one starts to bully the other... :giddy:

no worries... they have natural mama instinct... that time i was worried abt my hammie when she's a first time mum too... just give her more tissue for cushion and no touching of her babies till they r big enuff to crawl around and have opened their eyes... :smile:

 

that time one of the female gave birth to like 6-7babies.. think in the end only 4 survived and one of it had 3 legs only.. think the mama accidentally bite one of the leg off when it's still a baby... now it's a cute n pretty 3 legged hammie and i call it stumpy.. :smile:

Kutrax: Oh no... Please dont be upset. Maybe mummy too young, dont have ability to take care of the babies. I read from somewhere before that if mummy is too young, say about 2-3 mths old, she might not have the ability to feed milk or take care of her babies.

 

Perhaps try give her some time to replenish her proteins and energy. When she is slightly older, she might be able to be a better mummy.

yep mine too~ i think when they grow up till a certain age..they will start bullying the other if the breed is different. my pearl white start bullying my yellow bear cos pearl white are more dominant. :giddy:

Thanks for your advice, ktmger. Lucky for me, there was a pet shop opened yesterday. Showed my injured hammy to the shop asst. They offered to drip some oral med in the baby's water bottle so that she can drink it and healed faster. And I also bought a new cage for the injured baby so that she wont get bullied again. Now she can eat in peace without fear of being bitten while feasting.

Mummy 5 mths.. 1st time give birth.i hope next time she be more experience.

Anybody got robo for adoption..i'm thinking of buying a pair of robo.i travelled all the way to simei from bukit batok but the the shop only sell 2 robo.. :giddy:
