Bro, Did you pump fuel from Johor?

 

I believe the only solution to this problem is : use better fuel.

 

I replace air filter, flush rectifier also no use.

 

Eventually, I put in FP60 with the fuel, about two weeks time, the auto choke problem all gone.

 

But it was suggest we should not continue using Fp60. It will damage your engine in a long run.

 

What's auto choke problem? seems my new stx dun have such this problem rite now...my mileage is 5.3K rite now...

i guess its basically hard to start up the bike when cold. the engine will keep on dying and will not idle.

 

It happens to me a couple of times too, its erratic not consistent as in it does not always happens.

 

Normally once the ignition key is turned on , i wait couple of seconds b4 starting up the bike. If i feel the RPM idling is going lower i play with the throttle for couple of mins. Once its idling picks up, no issue.

 

I dont find it a major issue though.

i like to know where is the drain plug located as I intend to change the EO myself? I need to remove which side of the fairing first? To pour in the new EO the cap is on the right side of the bike right?

 

I intend to change new brake pads, any workshop to recommend like GOPA? And also the front tyre which brand /model to take?

 

I cornered with this beaST i was like "wow"

 

I tried to put mainstand while the bike is full tank = fail

check if the pad linen is thinning off..

check if the brake effect feels spongy...

check if the brake makes a grinding sound....

if it takes a far bit to get the brake to be effective, (which it should not be)..have your brake fluid check and replace with the pad. if this is your 2nd hand machine and no history record, i suggest do maintenance at your the shop. you can see how they do it.

Bros, I need recommendation for tyres. It seems that my fav macadam 50 is no more in production and hence need a compatible one to replace this trusted set of mine. I've used the bridgestone BTs before and find the uneven wear of the front one too quick for my liking especially the BT021 i think.

 

Heard of Avon, metzeler, michelin. m sure there are others. I am more of a touring rider and most of my wheels gets wear out in those trips. Mebe bros out there can give me their 2 cents worth of advise. Definitely not looking for the high range la. Reasonable priced and durable. Thanks.

I love my macadame too previously. tried BTs and the uneven wear relly turn me offf. I am now with my 2nd pair of pirelly strada. Good so far.Can try unity and hkl also carry them. Unity has promo when i change previously. on and off they have some offers though.

Can try Sin Boon at Northlink Building for the Macadam tyres. Just installed on my rear 02 months back.

BT021 is good if you do a lot of spirited riding. You can use it for the track.

 

Metzeler Z6 is good a good combination of traction, comfort and longevity.

 

Macadam is more of a touring tyre so life should be good.

 

I am on using Metzeler Z6 with 38psi front and 44 psi rear. The ST11 handles very well on this set up with Wilbers rear shock.
