Im newbie to ST1100 cos i just bring out the bike today afternoon...

I urgently need advise... After 5min riding and stop at traffic light... Found water leak from right rear area.. Could be the coolant as initially it was blue colour and it changed to brown at the next stop....

Anyone has one or both of the below parts to sell me?

1) GIVI Monolock metal base plate

2) GIVI rack mount for ST1100

I already have a nice E45 box sitting at home but I need a rack to mount it and it seems that the original nylon base plate cannot be used. Have been asking GOPA to be on a look out for me but so far no luck hence posting here.

My contact is 93398719 if you have the above to let go.

If you guys know somewhere else where I can find it, please advise too =o)

Thanks!

Riding can be a safe, fun filled activity for everyone :thumb:

bro the base plate which comes with the E45 can be mounted into the rear.

Go to Ah Fook at Ang Mo Kio industrial park 2 with ur box and the base plate

I did mine there

need to modify the base plate and add on 2 metal plates to mount to the rear handle

cost ard $20

Thanks Kano!

I will definitely like to check the option you mentioned out.

Just asking, do you happen to have any photos of your bike with the box? Just want to get a idea of how it is mounted, whether there will be vibration or permanent damage to the handles etc.

So far, what is your feedback on the modified mount? no issue so far or not for fussy riders? Tell me more if you can :thumb:

I send back to shop, found coolant in reservoir empty...

He mentioned that the coolant cap spoil and lose pressure and changed new one for me...

End up, it worked well and even fan started running when its hotter than norm...

Also made fan switch, just in case... :thumb:

as ur mention above, plm is not solve completely.

possible plm;

1) ur coolant is sipping out from the joints, mounting mineral residue corrodes & hey-wired the whole cooling cycle.

u need to replace ur heavily corroded coolant hoses. neatly scrap away the surrounded mineral residue around the joint(till its smooth clean)before pushing in a new hose.

fill it up with pure coolant & DISTILLED water, 50-50% ratio.

2) heavily choked radiator. need to replace it.

no Honda parts stockist here keep original radiator, a new fabricated copper material radiator cost about $250+(DIY install), at Sanfu they can replace it with a labour fee at $300++. same source of supplier.

after replacement it works as new.
