hi, got a fren with ST1100 FQ plater (not sure model) whom head on accident with a truck....he had recovered and intend to salvage the bike instead of scrapping it as COE until 2017....need basically complete front end (front fairing, windshield, headlight, bracket, fork, rims).....any idea where can get?.....

hi may I ask which locksmith is able to duplicate St1100 Pan European original key. So far 2 shops did not have a matching key. Any recommendations? So that I am able to go to the shop directly. Thanks you very much. Mine is the year 2000 model.

Hi faun, thanks for the tip. I went to several key shops already (near Jln Besar area) and none of them had any keys that were long enough. Even their longest key was only about 1/2 an inch to 1 inch longer. Can you recommend a shop to do this? Thanks.

bro the black plastic housing where u insert the key got take out or not?

 

if take out the diameter is big enough for the key head to pass thru.

Like my I grind off the head abit so that the key can be switch on and off.only some locksmith will do for you the car key

do you mean the black square piece? That piece has been taken out. Fitting the key through is no problem, but I think the risers on mine are quite high, the key is very difficult to turn, have to stick my hands under the plastic to even remove or turn the key.

 

I had no choice but to remove the covers, but I like the cover, so I hope to make a longer key. Now need to find lobang.

Thanks for all interest.....will swing by the bike shop tomorrow and hopefully restoration work can start next week after mechanic assess the 2 bikes or which to salvage.....upon which parts will be available for sale before scrapping off....do drop me a call or sms if you need certain parts urgently as can be discussed.....also hope to know more ST owners and share how to better restore this great bike again...cheers

Bike is almost done left spraywork....balance of bike parts at sporting motor on the red st1100 which can be viewed....rear drive shaft etc all working complete with panniers etc.bike engine can start but not so healthy engine as radiator leaked before. Electrical components are working. I've salvaged the front fairings, fork and wheels so the red are not good anymore.

 

Please send me ur offer n parts intended or would be most ideal if someone wish to buy complete bike as it is to project or keep as spares.
