hi guys,

today i have successfully instal LED light on my side guards, 5A accessories terminal able to provide smooth electrical current load.

the cost;

pair of 12V LED(red&blue) = $15.00.

strap fasteners = $3.80.

switch = $2.00.

switch box = $1.50

Total == $22.30

took me only 30mins to install & 1 hr to self-fabricate a switch box.

result is amazing, it's very glaring during riding at nite.. :thumb:

ashenZ,

i'm not hiao lah.. :lol: i'm using the accessory terminal.. :smile: no damage done to the harness.

i wanted to install a pair of fog lamps, after some attempt & consideration for the whole wiring diagram i gave it up. direct ploting from battery terminal is a fatal move unless for siggy socket, safe to use for a short session ie activating small air compressor or charging mobil phone or any lighter voltage accessorys. pro-long use of current from battery will deteriotation & overload it capacity.

i got it trial with my buddies. dark at nite it's not bright but i could be easily be detected by any vehical infront from distance of within 500m at nite on NSHW. it's a highly reccommended for 'nite riders'.

come on to see it on our Wednesday nite, i'm always there.

after the reserve light come out... it should let u have at least

another 80 to 100 km... applicable to highway riding...

mine while riding on highway... light up at 430 - 450km

and i am able to last another 100+km before it goes dry...

Watch out if u are travelling in city area or congested traffic...

as the distance (km) become lesser due to start /stop

We strongly advice u not to attempt pushing the beaST for long distance...

I am aware of the indicator.Wanted to really see how the milleage goes...\Sometimes what you personally experience with your bike make you more versed with the machine. Personally hearing hearsay on how much petrol can last for km...may not be accurate as its also based on riding habits and maintenance of the machine. 450km is max for me...Dun really belif it could go additional more than 30km on full....

a\nyway managed to get a can of petrol and top it up...Its true, no joke pushing this beast arnd with box and panniers....

hi cbkooky,

try my method to calculate remainder fuel mileage during rides, think it's useful for everyone for safety concern.

example: if reserve light up at 420km, meaning it has used up 23 ltrs of fuel.

balance fuel: 420km divided by 23ltr = 18.26km/ltr then multiply by 5ltr(the balance) = 91km, therefore in total = 511km+- per full tank.

Hmmm/...the calculation are reasonable.BUt how does it explains my fuel runs dry at 450km? Time for servicing i guess.....

hi cbkooky,

my calculation never fail me when i'm on highways base on my 'unusual' riding habit.. :D

back to the topic. there r several reasons for the higher fuel consumption, it could be:

1. ageing, normal wear & tear(main culprit)

2. bike not operating at correct temperature.

3. leaking of air & fuel mixture thru other non-metal components.

4. improper air fuel mixture, might be too rich or lean.

5. auto fuel cork plm.

6. over topped up engine oil or wrong viscosity.

7. uneven gap spark plugs(old)

8. irregular service intervals

brand new bikes also will have high fuel comsumption plm fyi.

BUT it still got to depend much on individual riding habit.

hi hsp_89,

wind visor isnt that difficult to maintain unless is those really CMI liao then..... :sian: car grooming accessory they have some kind of rubbing compound to really tackle of these plm, non of us try it yet cuz it's a very costly product from 3M.

steel braided hose doesnt really have much effect for ST1100, u can check with ev or mySTic4256 for real feedback.

There is only a few mentioned with Braided Hose but never hear them mention much...

I personnally dont see much of a differences...

Wind Shield... those really cannot make it condition...

Best is to CHANGE away...

For those that are slightly blurred ... heard 1 of the guys using Autosol Polish

to remove some scratches and blurr.... hmmm ....it actually works

Reminder to ask some of our guy's advices when viewing and purchase...

Some of the beaST that are on sale could be familiar to us...

Dont compare this beaST to other big birds.... its a whole new and Different

FEEL and experience....

Join us at our Meet-Up to find out more.... i let u touch mine ...heehee :lovestruck:
