anyone knows how come my spot light so sensitive? used less than 1 month fuse liao. is it lousy or wat? can anyone share his/her experiences here? tks.

- are your fog lamps factory fitted or retro-fitted ?

wats factory fitted or retro-fitted? it does not come originally, it was add on when i bought e car. ie, an unknown mechanic fixed for me.

The mechanic must have tapped the fog lights from one of the existing power supply thus overload the fuse. Two foggies, typically each rated at 55w, will load another 9A to the existing fuse, it will definitely flow the fuse.

 

There are two ways to solve your problem :

- Go to a reliable mechanic to re-run the power cable so that the foggies draw it's supply directly from the battery. This is the proper way of running axillary lamps.

 

- A quick fix is to up size your fuse. If the existing fuse is 15A, change to a 25A to cater for the additional 9A load. However this change in fuse size could mean that they will be less protection for the existing equipments that are drawing supply via that fuse.

LoL next time can provide much more details so others don't have to ask you :p Btw is it PI or via AD you bought from? Am curious to know which kinda dealer would give 3rd party shops to do such sloppy jobs.
