oh btw....i think Encik Pat's TDM is now at bike production...he got buang issit?saw deep scratch on one of the shroud....but i think they are cleaning the bike inside out...alot of dust and sands...:angel:

 

sure give the mechanics a hard time....price tag at $15k....:cheeky:

 

they took it in 14k.. so what do ya think :deal:

 

he sidded before and current exhaust is PCR's stock pipe..

dun think they can sell more than 15k, Encik Pat told me.. he bought new for 16.5k, abuse it.. i mean.. use it for almost 2 years, sold back for 14k...

 

so how much they can sell back ?

 

or may be they makan him on his new bike ?:dot:

joekia... found in carpe forum, how to reduce bike height..

 

I've always thought the seat was to high on my 900, with an inside leg of 32", I felt I was on my tiptoes and struggeled to push the bike backwards whilst sat on it.

 

So I bought some a 35 mm lowering kit off e-bay £35 + postage. Thought I would share how I fitted it.

Putting a spirit level over the seat, the seat height is 810mm.

Put the bike on the centrestand and a board under the back wheel resting the other end on a trolley jack.

Chock up the front wheel.

Loosen the 17mm bolts on the existing links, you will need a spanner on both ends.

retract the bolts.

Fit the new dog bones. I found the nuts were fowled by the brake line, so I decided to replace them facing the chain.

You will find that the holes dont line up, using the trolley jact raise the board and the back wheel so the holes align.

Tighten every thing up. take the board and the jack away. Move to the front.

Still on the centrestand raise the front up and put a block of wood under the front wheel.

Loose the front forks out of the yokes, the brake line bracket is in the way so I had to loosen it off.

Push the handle bars down to the required level, I choose 20mm.

Tighten everything up, check the level, bike seat now 780mm, 30mm lower.

NB..... check and adjust the slack on the chain, as it tightens the chain up.

 

Feels much better, I can move my feet a good 6" further out and feel much more stable.

 

Easy job took me, 40 mins, including the photos.

Side note,

 

I've got a pair of Alpine star goretex boots size 41 if anyone is keen to sell for any amount of money.. Bought it used 4 times felt it was too tight for me as I've quite a serious case of bunion thus I've to sell it off... Any one with size 41 on the shoes?

Good morning Kmax n all the TDMers . . . .

 

The plan is to ride up to kulai for supper (AJ's sugesstion). We meeting up at esso GP @ 2300 hrs . We are planning to go by the trunk road . . . . going back by highway. Hopefully Mr Tom Kurus will be leading the pack again . . . . so be prepared for a fast ride ! ha ha ha ! !

Hey guys...

 

I got some bad and good news..

 

Bad news...My father-in-law suffer a stroke....now just landed himself in Changi...So tonite after Changi,i will sent wife back home with baby..

 

GOod news,i will be joining you guys...but high chances will be riding as I am going in to JB again tomoro with Mirza on 4wheels to service my rig.

 

Sorry Angelo....maybe next friday ok?

 

but then again,if there's changes whether I am driving or riding,i will update you by 9pm.
