D.I.Y. mission today : Reviving the Lifeless Stainless Steel Header...

Part I: Spending 15mins dismantle the header, quite easy tho...

Here the picture of the header before reviving...

Part II: Where the hardworks being...

Spend about an hour, sanding down the header using green wool (for dirts) and fine sand paper for removing the burn mark...

Final touch up using metal polish to install life back into the header again.

Even thought its drizzling outside, here I'm sweating profusely... Tough work cos didn't use any machinery only HAND POWER...

At the end of the day, satisfaction level : 95%...

Here the pics to share...

Hi Bro Nukye... Green Wool is something most of our kitchen essential scrub, rough, green in colour...

Mama using it to scrub stain on the pot left behind after heavy cooking...

Use it to clear all the soil/mud stuck to the header... Easy and excellent...

Mine, I think has being there for the past 8yrs...

Of all, its quite cheap... but need HAND POWER...

TAAADAAAA... This is GREEN WOOL...

Hi guys,

Previously, i had enquired about getting a TDM900, seeking help from all the brothers here. Thanks for 2 nice brothers for sending me PMs on nice deals.

Due to a work schedule conflict, and motorcycle retention considerations (i will keep the motorcycle for a long time), i will have to postpone my final decision till earliest, November. Though i'll deposit a reservation fee if the right deal comes along.

Dear brothers, please do not hesitate to update me on any other deals that surface, before i make my final decision. As i may have a good idea some brothers may be selling off their TDM900 soon. Hehe.

My factors, will be a TDM900, preferably year 2004 or newer, though i may also consider older machines. Please quote me your asking prices, and update me on details such as year and month of registration, color, accessories, etc...

Previously, i had ridden an AT, for more than a year, before selling it off. Currently, i'm riding a 2004 R1, which i had bought, new at that time.

Finally, thanks to all the nice brothers for their wonderful assistance. Hope to ride with you guys soon, on a TDM900, if i have the fortune to get one. Hope to hear from you guys soon. Please do not hesitate to PM me. Thanks a million.

:)

Ride fast but safe... Skills matters most... the slow ONE... I WAS TOO SLOW at 1min 50.9sec :D

Past rides: Quite a few and different types

I never thought of using the common kitchen green wool! It would have save me lots of time :) Thanks for sharing, heaven51.

(btw, I do not post here often and yet to meet any of the guys here, but I've been following the thread)
