not quite sure. but lately has been encountering sudden momentary fuel cut-off while riding....esp when i go over a bump on the road. worst case engine will die off. after asking around, some say might be the EFI or the fuel-pump.

 

But guess i'll counter-measure the EFI first and monitor any improvements.

Agreed with AJ... Check your sidestand sensor first...

 

It happen to my DR6 and WR before... The sidestand sensor is a pressure switch which being pressured by the sidestand. (ie if you forget to lift up yr sidestand and engage first gear, the engine will be killed off...)

 

Yr encounter of momentary fuel cut-off while riding....esp when i go over a bump on the road pin-pointed 90% faulted to your sidestand sensor...

 

It could be the 2 parts that need your attention...

 

1. The spring holding the side stand (main culprit) might be loose over the year. Especially when you go over a hump, the pressure suppose to act on the sensor became deactivated. Leading to the fuel cut-off... Very dangerous especailly when you're overtaking and engine suddenly cut-off... Change the spring will works... Happen to both my DR6 and WR...

 

2. Sidestand sensor (unlikely), faulty... Repalce it...

 

Hope that my encounter might resolve your problem...

 

Change spring cheap, cheap... If change fuel pump must be ex...

Anyone keen in getting the Carbon Fiber Front Fender Extender ?

Purpose is to keep that nasty dirt and grit off your exhaust system and engine block area...

 

Mine kanna a stone/rock before and hit the exhaust (ke-tong)... Small dent on the header...

 

My friend/neighbour is taking order for his Vstorm kaki...

 

One piece is ard $70 inclusive of shipping, if can get 5 or more ard $65...

In fact i have a set of new TDM900 clutch cable, clutch lever, brake lever, main fuse and new battery. If anyone need them for touring spares, please feel free to loan from me.
