Hi dear bros and sis! Me a newbie in this forum, was thinking of getting a 600cc sportsbike but wants something abit smaller in terms of bike size and weight to compliment my body size. Any kind bros or sis can advise?

Hmmm I believe TS shouldn't have worries about that, as I go through those popular specs of CBR, ZX-6R and YZF-R6 they are pretty light weight (better equipping, lighter materials, improved aerodynamic, streamlined design). Comparing them to those model around the early 2000 their predecessor are more bulky and heavy.

 

You should head down to Looi's motor, have a feel of the bike... @ their show-room (*note most display unit are latest model)

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

Thank you for the advise, most prob i should reali head down to the shop to reali have a feel of the real thing. hav cbr 600, zx6 and in mind. Any advice and feedbacks on the maintenance and reliability of this two? Appreciate all feedbacks given. Sorry for asking too many questions.

1. what's your previous ride(s)?

 

2. what's your weight and height?

 

3. what's your age?

 

4. what are your riding buddies riding?

 

5. do you consider naked bike with sportsbike feature?

 

6. what engine type are your looking at?

 

7. do you prefer japanese made or others?

 

you may wish to take a look at the kawasaki er6f at looi. of course, the big four mid size sportbikes you should not miss, cbr600, r6, zx6, gsx600.

In term of maintenance, maybe you want to study the price of the parts. Just ask around some workshops and those parts shop to check. If the parts of a certain brand of your choice are hard to get, then you may want to reconsider your choice. Also, you may want to think of the resale value of the bike. Last but not least, try to go to a few shops to check out their price for the bike of your choice.

1. what's your previous ride(s)? My last ride was a Aprilia Rs125, that was years back. Took up class 2A but did not ride at that time, recently accquired my class 2 and the passion of sportsbikes relive again.:) More towards hobby riding.

2. what's your weight and height? ht/1.68m wt/60kg

5. do you consider naked bike with sportsbike feature? I prefer fairings.

i would prefer the CBR600, i have previous ride a CBR400 fireblade, i have a gd experience with the honda CBR. the hanlding is nice. second choice R6 and third choice ZX6.
