Just for your info if you are interested..

for my busa (still running-in), so far based on 18L of petrol (minus 3L for reserve).. best mileage=340km (Msia riding) , worst mileage=240km (Spore riding)

Bottomline, if you want good mileage, DON'T RIDE IN SPORE~!!!

Okie, sorry, dun mean to be rude.. just kidding... chill okie :thumb:

Anyway, a general question to all who've been there done that.... Is it possible to go pass 6k RPM on 6th gear? Tried to do that a few time yesterday but the moment it hit 5.5k RPM on 6th gear, my engine note became extemely rough (hope that's the right way to describe it) and the needly refuse to move over 6k RPM. Speed was 160kph. I never full throttle cuz still running-in....

Is it a rider problem (myself) or is it not possible to go pass 6k RPM on 6th gear?

i am not sureif i am answering yr qs? if yr millage is below 800 during the initial running in u r not suppose to go above 5.5k (i i remember corectly)

and during the 1st 800 the engine is abt rought so getting beyond 4k i can feel the engine getting rough but after a while it gets smoother. after yr first oil change at 800km 6-8k rpm is no problem. hope i helped..

guys i just bought a hayabusa but still have not collect

question from me,

- how much is one full tank of petrol cost?

- how many km can it go for full tank?

usuall 15-18l depends on how lng more u ride after reserve light is on. u get about 240-270 before reserve light is on in singapore. my best millage is 23.1km/h that is maintain at 3k rpm at 90km/h for ~30-40KM.

you can get 23.1km w/o maintaining at 90km/h. jus spend $50

some did it at 105km/km

Yup I did follow the user manual... mileage was 1500km when i try to rev it to a higher range but failed (maybe because i dun dare to rev hard enough)... Anyway, going to change oil tomorrow to semi-syn to run it for another 2000km... hope it will be smoother by then... :thumb:

That's wat I thought too... my initial plan was:

800km - Mineral

1600km - Mineral

2400 - Mineral

3200 - Fully-syn

But so far, everyone I met, including clifford at K&T also tell me.... :

800km - Mineral

1600km - Semi-syn

3600 - Fully-syn

:giddy:

I know its my own bike and I should decide what I want to do with it. But what do you guys recommend?

friedfishz,

the chart is i using from a web as reference.

there is the "flat spot" that even now i have also.

see this dyno chart (the green line)

http://www.dragbike.com/dbnews/articlefiles/07busa_sat05.jpg

look at 5.5k region

there is a flat spot there.

it is not u but when u are more cash rich u may go dyno run it and refine ur ride to remove that. it can be done via pc3.

also from the chart u see that the power band is at about 9.6k (so if you are really wan to "whack" ur bike then. keep ur bike's rpm at abt 9-10k then change gear u will have the best HP. (it is not abt juz rev till the max / redline it to get the top)

also the chart will nv be true as different bike got differ "character".

I didn't mean to be rude to you in my two previous posts.

Anyway, do join them for kopi if you can... They are all very friendly and helpful chaps... Look out for the posting of the next kopi session. :)

BTW, I am only riding a slow bike. I am not riding a Falcon. :)

Hmmm, I wouldn't call your Fabulous Joy Ride a slow bike, man :cheeky: .

Thanx for the info quize~! at least now i know its a machine problem that can be solved and not a rider's psychological barrier that is harder to go through... hehe...

Bro,if u don't mind,I would like to know, if we install pc3,after tuning it,do we really need to dyno our bike?or install it is enough already?

I thought a thought. But the thought I thought wasn't the thought I thought I thought. If the thought I thought I thought had been the thought I thought, I wouldn't have thought so much.
