@rin, congratulations to the birth of your beautiful new Falcon!! nice one dude!! sure made alot of us drool here. dun worry about the paintwork. it wont turn yellow so easily, especially your colour isn't white, but PEARL WHITE. just make sure you do not always leave it in the sun. if you park in the open, cover it up. wash and wax often and it is really really advisable to go for sealant treatment. i protected my K6 in such a way and i can tell you that it still looked brand new. you can also take a look at Keratsini's K6. he took great care of it too. if you need a good workshop which can provide reliable, good quality paintwork services, do call me at 96391696. i know where to bring you. enjoy the birth of your Falcon!

@rin, since compression of your K8 is higher, naturally, it heats up faster. however, do not worry it will boil your family jewels. get a crotch guard if you are afraid. problems will be soothed with a tank bra as it absorbs heat from the tank and wont get to your balls. if you still feel very hot, probably you have to get a better coolant into your radiator.

Do they have tank bra in White? Please dun get a black one please... would look weird on your nice white bike. Or maybe to protect it you could get the race shield or something.

seriously i used to own a whte car.. every week need to wax... otherwse it will look yellow.. new bike still ok .. after some time it will start to turn yellowish

i think with current paint technology, it won't turn yellow that fast or easily lah... my friends' white cars drive 5 years already still very white... white super 4 also still looks great...

Anyway, when it really turns yellowish, its an indication that its about time to change bike....

 

most new car ownes go for car grooming. they put a layer of coating/sealant to protect the paint.. i am not sure if bikes do that.

anyway if got chance i show u my cousin "white" super four see how yellowish it has become...

I saw a white tank bra in Looi's but for other bike..so checking out in Motoworld...I was kind of made up my mind of getting black half bra for the sake of the tank..now after your advise,I agree totally with you to settle with just a shield... :thumb: thanks bro!!!

 

Hey man, if you have really made up your mind on a bra, ignore what I said and just carry on with your initial plan lah. From what I know, Motoworld would ask you to order for a custom white bagster tankbra. not sure the price though, but the more crucial question would be, HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE FOR IT TO ARRIVE?

 

Not to forget that after getting the white tankbra, you would be tempted to get a white tank bag to go with it... hehehe

i think the deciding factor on how long our tryres can last will be how we ride. if you let a hard rider like keratsini, his M3 will never hit that mileage. this is a true fact. based on the truth that his sprockets, chain and cush rubbers lasted him only 24,123.3456789km.

@rin, go MW order a custom bagster tank bra. it will protect your tank better than the half cup bra. although half cup look more sexy i ordered my custom bra and it looks really great as it follows the design of your bike. it took me one and a half months before my tank bra arrives. but it is worth the wait. just take note you may have to buy some leather cleaners, protectors or just silicon spray to care for your tank bra to make it look new and good.

 

still, you can get the race shield or some other protective films to cover the fender and head fairings of your bike, to protect against flying stones or debris. especially if you intend to go touring or track, that is a must.
