Anyone with experience with the ECU flasher from boostbysmith? >LINK. I find it worth the money as the features (cut and paste),

- Ability to view all sensors data with a laptop connected

- Ability to clear fault codes

- Ability to change fueling maps (both IAP and TPS maps) for better, more precise tuning than piggyback systems.

- Ability to change ignition maps (you can add timing in the lower gears like a TRE does without messing up your gear based fuel curves)

- Increase your factory rev limiter (current software supports up to 12,500 RPM)

- Remove the 6th gear speed restriction with the click of a button

- Ability to dis-able soft cut limiters which can burn up your NOS or Turbo bike, hard-cut shuts all injectors down vs just a couple.

- Turn your ECU into an ignition / fuel kill box for use with an air/co2 shifter

- Switch-able map selection for NOS, different turbo boost levels, fuel types etc

- Import maps from other fuel tuning devices (testing phase right now)

- Replace stock map sensor with GM 3 bar for boost referenced fueling for turbo bikes

- Disable O2 sensor, pair valve, IAT sensor for dyno tuning purposes.

- Ability to tune secondary throttle blade opening (don't remove those secondary flies you will loose hp)

I find it quite worth it for only USD220 (~SGD315) include shipping. Just buy buying a PC5 and ignition module will cost over sgd1000 but yet with lesser functions with both combine.

The question is, you guys know any tuner in Singapore who has experience with this device? Thought of buying a wide band AFR meter with logging capability to do real time tuning myself but very expensive and require alot of trial and error.

the problem is there is no one in singapore who knows how to do it properly...

From the website, it doesn't look that hard to hook up the device. I can do myself. Just that, I need a dyno machine and time to tune it. Sigh, maybe I will check with Norman (Racewerks).

Thought of using it to change the iginition timing of the lower gears. I find the pick up to be very slugglish as compared to my preivous sport bikes. Don't feel like using the TRE as it uses another gear mapping for the first few gears which might not be appopriate. But maybe there is some information in the Hayabusa.org showing the recommended ignition mapping. Maybe can just use it.

5th gear mapping on 6th gear.

to feel the different for mid and low speed.

:)

I have had a friend who once bought the TRE for his 99-00 Busa and he experienced problem of not being able to synchronise the gearings. Not sure if it is due to the old ECU or GPS. However, the TRE did provide better throttle response and lower engine brake. In the end, he sold he TRE away.

It is your call.

Greetings Falcon buddies! Just traded my K6 to M1 Motoring for a slower ride yesterday. It was a sad but subtle separation. Anyway, if any of you or your friends happened to buy my ex-ride (FBA3507G) do let me know as the owner's manual and the one seater hump nuts are still with me.

Keep in touch, buddies!

Nic

hey bro nic,

juz curious

i have a wide band afr on board.

does some tweaking myself

and yes it requires alot of trial and error sort of.

where u tweak the setting and check back to the logging.

I got lots of nuts so I'm thinking of "donating" some to those in need. Haha!

I'm not sure what they are called but they are for the installation of the seat hump after removing the pillion grab bar.

Thats what I am afriad of. Actually I'm fine with the stock mapping. Just wanna amend the timing. Something like adding TRE but then without using the higher gear mapping for the lower gear. Think I might just try it.

By the way, which AFR data logger you are using now? I found this online, Wego III, which like not bad. But it over my budget for the moment.

ya i think my friend's bike is kind of bad condition. that is why i didn't dare to reject the idea of him having the TRE on totally.
