Apperantely there is going to be a recall for the rectifier problem the 08/09 Busa had over at USA. Don't know will it affect Singapore. Damn! and I just changed the rectifier!!! Lucky still got the receipt. Gonna called Guan Hoe and see I can claim or not.

Just went to Guan Hoe. As per usual, I got to suck thumb since I changed the rectifier myself AND there isn't any recall in SG yet PLUS I got no more warranty. But they are kind enough to extend a 1 yr warranty for my new rectifier. However I am just worried about the reliability of the new rectifier, is it the new improved version or the same old sucky version. Gonna find out from them, if possible. I just don't want to encounter this problem again when I am a few hundreds KM away from home.

 

Anyway for the potential K8/9 riders whom face this problem in the near future. Give Guan Hoe a call first before doing the repair. The symptom is usually low charging or no charging. For my case, I still can ride my bike but everytime I gonna jump start my bike due to low battery voltage. But riding all the way at 11V range.
