how come everyone has different numbers?

Ok here's the answer.To retain an old number plate,you have to only pay $100 number retention fees and that is if you buy a brand new bike on the spot from the bike shop,the bike shop will do the process for you.

 

But if you want to retain the old plate without buying a bike immediately,you have to pay a deposit of $1300 to LTA and you can keep the plate for only 12months,if within the 12 months you buy a bike from a shop,just let them know about your old plate,and LTA will refund you $1200 by cheque once the process is done.

 

If you want to retain your old plate to a second hand bike,the cost is $1300 flat and there's no refund whatsoever.
