Hello.. Just got a Px150. Im not sure the cause but my gear keep slipping from 2 to neutral.. And sometimes the gear never really fall in place.. Anyone experience this b4?

Could be cruciform problems ....

 

 

The cruciform is a small cross-shaped alloy part used to select gears. It works by fitting into square cut outs in the gears themselves. This is a high wear part. Since there is almost no buffering between the gears, this part receives damage with almost every shift. Sloppy shifting will expediate its demise. Luckily, this piece will not hurt the steel gears when it slips. Unfortunately, it is buried deep within the engine. To get at it, start by dropping the engine, then split the cases and follow the procedure below. Before you attempt this repair, check that your gear selector box does not have any side to side play. Sometimes this play will make the bike jump out of gear. Replace the gear selector box components and try to make the bike jump. If it doesn't jump, you have solved the problem. Otherwise change the cruciform and inspect the gear shims.

Hello guys! Im a px owner too.. I used to visit this forum too. I guess some MIA due to busy working.. Now im back here. Once again let me introduce myself again.. Hi, im airil.. I have friends riding vespas px too. Some modified to make them look classic but some original px like me! There are about 5 to 6 of us.. I guess its nice we can all meet up together one of the day and ruled the street with like more than 10 vespapapapa. Hehe! this morning i started my px after some kicks, which is quite normal. i then remembered that i left something at home, so i turned the bike off and went to get my stuff. barely 5 minutes later, i tried to start my px again. but it couldn't start! after many kicks, i gave up.

 

siput, did you find out what was wrong with your scoot?

 

sadly still the same...i got no time coz very the busy with work..had to rely on push start...luckily for me,

to n from work...i rely on slope to start...haha...

helo, i m the buyer! anyway to check when was the rebuilt done? I read that every 50k km have to rebuilt. as u know i ride bike bikes so small bikes i have no idea

Had this problem, Bike sometimes goes neutral when shifted in 2nd or 3rd gear then it fly forward suddenly.

Sound like I have thismproblem too,or is it my riding style?I can hear the gear sound also,like don't fall into place..how much to fix the cruciform problem?
