Hi guys, got a problem here. My bike stalls when i shift to gear 1 from neutral every morning. i had waited for a few minutes before shifting to gear 1. A fren told me to throttle alot of times before shifting and moving off since it is a 2 stroke bike. i just dont noe is it because the engine is still cold or something? Or is there are some problem with my bike? Somebody pls help me out.....

from my experience,it was my biting point too near...even when the clutch lever pulled in all the way,the bike can still move but rarely gets noticed..especially when the battery get weak,ur engine will stall easier...but im not sure if this is wat u r experiencing...

or could be bad engine/gear oil. sticky + cold + old, plates cannot disengage properly the first time around. the clutch pull just reduces the spring pressure on the plates. if the plates are sticking, they may cause that problem. after the first stall, the plates get jarred apart, then normal operations from there on.

in neutral, the plates are still engaged which may be why it doesn't stall outright.

it's my speculation. just maybe.

I had this problem before. It only happens when i never wait for my bike to warm up enough. A way for me to get through it was to rev my engine to about 2.2k RPM, then kick down to gear one.

But it was solved after i changed to another type of EO. Weird right...
