Hi guys anyone know is it better to replace a flat battery or get a charger to charge up on your own

Get a reputable charger and charge at ur own first. If charging failed, buy a new batt. Charger can also be used for batt maintenance.

 

Simply put, I want to monitor my current batt to see if it's at its end of life. If so, then I would change it.

 

I would expect my battery to last more than a year before having issues.

For local scene, you don't need multiple quotes for a battery change. It's a very simple task and I would recommend it diy, just to save a few bucks from the servicing fee.

Check out the IU wiring, incorrect wiring will drain out battery fast. Install a voltage meter to morning the bettery, go for a riding on express way and keep the engine revolution speed above 4000 RPM/MIN at least 30min to get battery charged, park the bike for a while, then turn on the ignition switch, if the voltage still is low, then it's time to change the battery.
