Does anybody owns an aprilia shiver 750 in singapore?

And how is the aprilia authorised dealer-mah motors' reputation being an aftermarket support?

Appreciate any inputs.

Thanks in advance. Cheers!!

went to Mah and was comparing GSR750 against the Shiver 750. and one of the salesperson recommended me Triumph Street Triple. Was actually looking out for the GSR but the Shiver simply caught my attention and the quoted price of both machine was a $900 different. But there's a great great concern abt all these Italian bike.. I've been assured that the spare parts will not be hard to find cuz Mah actually supports it. But what about the pricing for maintaining and servicing this bike? I've been hearing negative comments abt these bike costing a whole in the pocket for maintaining and servicing..IF get into accident (*choy) the repairing would be as tho crashing a ferrari/lambo. It sound abit too exaggerated but well its a Italian bike... would have to expect some price on it. Hope to hear some responds soon.

If I may. It's a parallel to the car world. Japanese bikes are cheap and good and reliable. English bikes are for their status. Italian bikes are for their craziness. Just like the masses, most people buy Japanese cars to be safe. (don't buy a Malaysian bike if ever there's one), richer ones will go for a british bike. Those with money to blow will get an Italian bike, as their weekend bike. If it breaks down, it's gets fixed in the shop during the week, where the rider will use his other bike- presumably Japanese, while the Italian is being fixed. Then it's used on the weekend again.

When was the last time u saw a Toyota on fire? And when was the last time u saw an Italian car on fire? Same goes with the bike world as far as reliability goes I guess.

Please don't flame me. Just trying to contribute my two cents.

Ride safe people!!

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

thx for the advise hahahah.. i know Italian bike goes with a BLOW haha! ever since i was camping SBF for my very first 2b, i've seen that comment for italian bike everywhere... but ppl who actually rode them.. how it is? I just approached my fren who rides a Motard with the same engine as Shiver for races mostly and said to have no problems so far. maintenance not as bad as compared to the ducati and BMW... those figures are what i am looking for and the reliability of these bikes now.

Hi all.... just my view on the shiver.. its a great street bike! 750cc 90 degrees V-twin engine, fuel injection, hydraulic clutch, Sports(S) Touring(T) Rain® mode that will effect your throttle response. It has the same chassis n engine with the Dorsoduro, a super-motard comparable to the Ducati Hypermotard 796, but with more bhp, torque and value for your money. Reasons for it to be rare on the road is because people prefer the dorsoduro more for its styling.

For more info, u can try going down to Aprilia Singapore at 8 Ubi Road 2 #01-13 Singapore 408538.. They are having a promotion: free Arai helmet! For very limited time!

hi, wondering whether the maintenance is more for the shiver? with so many electrical parts, is it really suited for sg's rainy and humid weather? I had a look at this bike at Mah motors (with zard exhaust) and it sounds absolutely beast! very tempted to get one.

Mine is probably the oldest shiver in sin, 3 years, so far no problems. I may be putting up for sale or to a bike shop. Great condition. PM me if keen.
