Cn u all gimme me examples on which car in better in terms of modification parts prices as in which car is more ex to modify... N performance wise n anything u cn gif me info bout.. well both cars are mod-able, but lancer is a season car in the market.. so makes it easier to source for parts or rare aftermarket parts to play with..

 

Anway modding nv came cheap.. those came cheap is just comestics for certain parts only.. it's not like bikes, $xx is a hard figure to come by for mods unless u consider valve cap as a mod then maybe yes..

 

Dunno much abt rio capability, but some lancers managed to achieve some nice numbers on wheels with performance enhancement.. of course with a LTA price indeed.

i've test driven both before (both used cars), the lancer was a much nicer drive!

 

its relatively fast too! saw many modded ones before, not bad at all. As MOA said, its been in the market quite long, you'll have a lot of choices to choose from, from performance or aesthetics.

 

 

The rio, maybe it was just a one off thing, but some of the interior plastics were peeling.. even the gearshift boot (ok lah can change but..)... yuck! I dont think the build quality is very good on the rio. I just didnt like it. Engine also no power.. Just IMHO ya?

 

 

The lancer is a much better base car to start from! :x

why sports?

you like the stock bodykit?

 

the engine is the SAME with some different things only.

 

1.sports model got bodykit and spoiler

i dun find the big hoo har abt body kit as outside can do bodykit to the design you like

 

2.sports model got passenger air bag

these depends on individual

 

3.sports model got the so call ralliart seat and door trim

is just the seat with different pattern and red lining for the whole car seats include rear.is still a leather material.basic model also leather.

 

4.sports model steering and gear knob are wrap in leather

the stock leather wrap cannot make it.soon it will peel off dun to wear and tear.knob also like that....

 

5.sports model clear back light/a bit "smoke" headlight

nothing special.you can change the headlight/brakelight to aftermarket if you are rich,if not just sent for sparying the internal for less than 160sgd-200sgd.

 

6.sports model come with fog light

do singapore really need the foggie?2nd hand cost abt 100sgd while brand new is abt 180sgd.

 

price different between sports and basic are abt 3-4k different.

 

spent your $ wisely.

no budget,change the meter to LED @ 70sgd (only blue and red)

 

got budget get the EVO 7/8/9 meter cost abt 300-400sgd.plus and play
