Hi...

For those guys who have went up to MHS the last time round:

1. Did u guys having problem finding petrol up there or did u pump gasohol?

2. If u used gasohol, did u add any fuel additives or treatment of sorts?

Finding Petrol Stations along the route up is not a problem, usually there will be petrol stations, namely PTT on the outskirts of towns.Stick to half tank if you wanna play safe. The most likely problem I think you will face is bum ache.

I'm not entirely sure about the effect of Gasohol on FI bikes though I had no problem with it during my trip up MHS.

Do you guys find your low beam headlights aimed too high?

During the I first week that I got my bike I was rather puzzled at the stares directed at me until i realised that my headlight aim was too high. U can make adjustment of your headlight aim using a philips screwdriver. The attached picture might be of use.

The older 800FI don't need to remove anything to adjust the headlight aim. There are 2 built-in holes in the meter nacelle plastic, one for each lamp, to allow a long screw driver to be inserted thru for adjustment - altho you need to grope / feel about to aim for the adjusting screw - but you get the hang of it after a while.

Yea.. me too experiencing the same prob... Up the multi storey carpark have to use gear 1, if not engine vibrations...

I am getting use to it though.. I have checked with the others, ey said that due to e v-engine...

hi rstopel hows the bike doin?? haven seen for it for long time liao :p

the racks n all the boxes i forgot wats the price liao but i got mine

at a special price frm mtechnic as im familiar with them. the side boxes alone should cost $650-$700 and the top box is $350 onwards if im not wrong.

I have a H&B top rack and a set of H&B racks for side paniers. I don't use the side racks as I don't have the paniers and the H&B are actually too wide. Not sure about the price as it came with the bike but you can check with M-technic in Ubi as they have the full H&B range

Yes I believe it's due to the engine being a V4.

I experienced the same thing on my previous RVF.

Hi, can you recommend me a shop to service or tune. Recently changed battery and now when the engine warmed up, sometimes the idling too low and the engine dies off.

Thanks in advance.

Prob can first try to adjust the idling speed higher?

Anyone having this experience.

After bike is started, both cold and warmed up, sit on bike, hold both handlebars. Can feel some vibrations. When clutch in, these vibrations is lesser aka smoother.

P/S : Yup, vibrations are normal, erm, the key thing is, vibrations lessen when clutch in. It's not normal, cos previously, this didn't happen. Clutch in/out same level of vibrations.

So, any idea?

roy regarding uyr idling problem .. i used to have this kinda prob on my s4, went to HKL and let ah-zhen inspect ... he said the injection pin spoil then got it changed and fully check the bike and found out that the spark plug cord was leaking also got that changed too ... after that did tuning and bike was roaring out of the workshop performing like a million dollar jet plane ... hahahax.

My Advice is to go to find a shop and let the mechanic listen to the bike ... don't rush them when they checking ur bike, i'm sure they'll find out whats wrong and make ur ride feel like a miliion dollar jet plane .... cheers.
