Ok the scenario:

Saw a red plate Picanto parked on motobike lot. Den one gentleman riding a BMW GS came and parked at the only lot left which wuz behind e car. Eventually e owner of the car arrived and asked e gs rider to move his bike as he couldn't reverse out. The rider told him he's parked there legally and juz walked off leaving the car driver in one hong gan situation :cheeky:

Anyway my question is, if the driver tries to be hero and just bang into the bike, will the car b 100% at fault despite e fact e rider parked his bike directly behind e car?

just a question, since the bike is legally parked in a lot, why does it have to follow??

true the BMW rider has big guts..he knows tat the car will loose more, financially n legally if he knocks down his bike..yes car is at fault 100%, the very least would be parking on a bike lot

but for those riding 2b like me...and the car that park is a BMW, merc or even big lorries...depending on how big ur gut is..IF u may want to park ur bike there...take pics also..take license plate..in case ur bike kena knock down.

Thumb up for fellow GS rider!

But I doubt I will do the same. If the car reversed and hit the bike, the rider couldn't claim insurance because it couldn't be considered as an accident.

Anyway what happened to the Picanto driver?

to ride is bliss

it would be considered a hit and run. since the bike was parked legally. :cheeky:

very impt thing is, i think there must be evidence (photos, videos, 3rd party witnesses). otherwise, how to claim?

i ever thought of doing this, but then i think bikes are at losing end. if he just decides to shift your bike, or some other rider shifts your bike. bike drops, who you look for? at most report police say hit and run. even if you can proof that the car was there, driver can say bike was removed?

above are my 2cents worth. correct me if i am wrong.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

i seen this kind of scenario at chomp chomp car park

as u know for motor cycles , there is a whole row for it.

sometimes can see car park at the bike lots there.

was thinking what if the bike all park behind the car, then tear night and day coupon for the next day , i think the car no need move for 2 days liao

it's always possible to move bikes, just more troublesome that's all. have everyone tried dragging a bike away? frankly if u dont give a rat about the bike it is rather simple to do it.
