Yeap, beforehand you need to buy insurance.

Find bike

Take down necessary info about bike, E.G Plate number

Go find a insurance company which give you reasonable price

Tell them the number plate

Tell them what type of insurance you want, TP, TPFT...so on.

Buy insurance which "starts at the date you intend to do transfer".

Doesn't mean you buy that day must start that day, can choose starting date.

Do transfer of bike.

Tadah~ :D

Buy Phantom la...see I lonely alone ride ah peh bike. :o

First time own bike not advisable to get first hand...unless you really that rich.

But even when rich, see bike drop still will heart pain. :o

If have the intention to upgrade, not advisable to get first hand also. Bike resale value not very high, the moment you bought the bike, the price drop 50% (just rough estimation) already.

Call them up and ask about it.

IMHO, insurance ntuc is quite good. Reasonable price.

First you need to know what bike you want,

Then you call them up to ask,

They need to know the number plate of the bike to process out the price.

I've thought of that too. hmmm. I've seen a couole of pretty rs' at ubi today. mmmmmhHHHHH. I think I'll put sliders. but then again, it might not be good. I'll jump over to the aprilia thread and ask ard later. HAHA.

nah, the moment i buy the bike, the max i can sell is 10k. let's say it's new. from 12k -> 10k (Y)

That's the gist of it. :D

View bike -> decide bike -> source insurance -> decide and buy insurance -> do transfer

@tyltyltyl

I don't think sliders will protect the fairings. It's meant to protect the frame more. :o

Gratz to Sky & Tobi, I managed to pass today as well haha. (Tag 48) Waited till the end to know if I had pass, bloody excruciating.

I was wondering if I can remove the pdl they stapled onto the Test Paper after obtaining the License-mail notification paper? And that printed paper from the TP counter is used to obtain insurance & LTA transfer till one gets their card-license?

Congrats unhomer! :D:D:D

For the TP papers, after you applied for the Driving License, it's considered 'useless' already. Just a souvenir, you can do what you want with it. :)

The paper substituting as driving license should work exactly the same as a driving license until your card comes if I'm not wrong.

Erm...just curious, why do you need to remove it anyway?

The only reason which will make me remove it is...the card holder holding the pdl costs >$2!

The TP just staple through the card holder. haha.

Mm what might your budget be?

Went to motorworld today and got myself a HJC IS-MAX-solid colour (ff-flipup) @ 180.

Got quoted OGK FF4 $220 @ LAB but they only have Small size.

Theres another small OGK FF4 @ Regina, "special last piece price" but too small for me so i didnt enquire.

Has some perspective reviews.

Wah! HJC flip up so cheap?! :(

Makes me kind of regret having my rjays.

I very long never ride bike already...7th month.

I frequent motoworld a lot...lavender ones you stop at lavender mrt station, come up opposite ICA building and take 145 from there. Count 2 stops and alight at 3rd stop. The one at eunos there is alight Eunos mrt, take bus 15 and alight after Enterprise One building.
