Got JOYMAX300i. No regret! A Excellent bike! I am still running-in. The engine is so much more quiet and smoother than GTS200. The underseat light switch was replaced by an Anti-theft lock switch. Once you turn on the Anti-theft switch, even with the key turn on and start button pressed, the bike will not operate. Underseat is large enough to hole 1 normal helmet and 1 half cap helmet.

Suspension is much better than GTS 200. The GTS was stiffed and bumpy. No major problem with my old GTS bike except wear and tear on exhuast pipe. Fuel consumption was excellent too. My old GTS FC was around 28km/L - 30km/L. But if I full throttle and lut more often then it will be around 25km/L. I have yet tested JoyMax yet as I am still running-in the engine. So far only pump only once.

I would love the windshield to be taller though.

Anyway, having own 2 SYM scooters, I think SYM (三陽工業) built very reliable scooters.

I strongly advice bikers who always trusting Japenese and Euro made scooters, you should reconsider SYM and take a look at SYM bikes. Cheaper to own and cheaper to maintain and more practical features on the bike. Better resale value than Kymco. Cheaper parts than Jap bikes and Euro bikes. The parts are also readily available.

The JoyMax 300i EVO have a beautiful pair of unique eye browns. It also comes with a pair of factory built in fog light with on/off switch.

JoyMax 300i was even awarded with the prestiges Taiwan Excellent Gold Award

Milige traveled after pumped full tank (SPC95)on Joymax

Tell me what you think of the FC shown on my Joymax 300i Evo.

my GTS hits 350-380. maybe u full throttle too much since its only 180cc while 260cc you more relaxed on your throttle :cheeky:

yes, joymax 300 is 263.7cc vs joymax 250 which is 250.6cc all from the sym website. :(

Bro how are u able to hit 350km on GTS har? Thats incredible fuel miliage. Yes I lut all the time on my GTS. When lights turn green I am always the 1st. Now my Joymax still running in so my speed is less than 60km on the 1st 1000km. Not sure if I lut Joymax the same way as my GTS what the miliage will be like. Will update here again when I clock beyond 1000km.

Now it is 312km. Its time for my 1st oil change.

how much is this OTR?? how come i nvr see b4. mayb can change my x9 to this.

Machine price 6.6k Change to Joymax. I ve enjoy this bike. Cheap to own and cheap to maintain.Spare parts are cheaper than Jap and Euro bike and it is easily available.

Nexus may be cheaper to buy than Joymax but in the long run, you will end up paying more as the parts and maintenance are high cost for Nexus.

The maintenance interval are tab short compare to the Japanese scooter....

yes the maintanence interval is shorter than most other make bike but shorter interval also makes the engine run smoother and have less problem. Perhaps that also explain the reliability of SYM bike. Moreover the EO is abt 1L only. For JoyMax it is 1.2L.

hmmm...not sure if downtown is better...as I read somewhere that downtown has 10 more horse than Jaoymax...but i like the joymax deign more...I am previously a gts200 owner too...It didn't gave major problem thru out my 2 yrs ownership except wear and tear on exhuast pipe which gave a rattling sound...hope sym have solve this problem on GTS liao...thinkin of getting a silverwing/TMax...but the price I was quote I could buy Versys/vstrom 650(and alot of of other bikes)...crazy...but heard that Joymax cost ard the same price as what e older version of silverwing ard 12-13k ... all the bike prices are crazy...if only e joymax would cost something like the old GTS $8K otr..

hmm... your thinking and consideration process is similar to mine before.... pls allow me to share my view...

If you want a high end scooter that has the monsterous power, then can consider TMax. Tmax is the King of scooters. It can hit beyond 180km as fast as lightning strike just by the twist of the throttle. It is superfast! Weather protection is excellent! Tmax is design as a sports scooter. It is built for speed. It can play cornering just like a sport bike. For over 10 years, there is none any other scooter that built close to Tmax! Tmax is just unique by its own design. Not only it is expensive to own, the cost of maintenance is super high. 1 rear tyre cost $300. If you are lucky, you may be able to get it at $250. And to duplicate the immobiliser key, it will cost you around $150 to get one. EO change 2.8L at 5000km. Oil filter parts also need to change after every 5000km (arnd $40). You do the maths.

If you want super comfort than I will vote for 1)Burgman400 (lower seating posture) or 2)Silverwing400. But the wear and tear parts (e.g belt, roller, battery ects) are costly and the tyre too arent cheap! So the overal maintenance is just costly!

Downtown or xCiting are nice bike. Specs is more power than Joymax also. Kymco agent stuck up service. Kymco bike is not cheap also. A lot of ah pek ride Kymcos. Resale value worse than SYM. Go check out any bike shop yourself and see what I say if true on the resale value if Kymco vs SYM.

If you want a budget scooter that can get you around and with reasonable power and little maintenance cost than Joymak or GTS strongly recommended.

Lots of ppl thought Taiwan bike is no good. After riding the GTS200 previously and having my 2nd SYM scooter (Joymax), I can confidently say that SYM built relaible bike as good as Jap bike, if not even better. Thats include SYM and Kymco. Cos I also see many old old Kymco bikes still going strong on the road.

Currently Joymax is the highest end scooter among all SYM scooters.

Hope you get the bike that suite you eventually.

SanYang Italia held new models Press meeting at the thirteen century Gropparello Castle on 9th April, 2009.

After the testing

The journalists said

1. Joymax/GTS 300i EVO is the best.

2. Citycom 300i with the MMC for the seat position is very good for driving.

3. Joyride 200i is also good for driving.

Have not tested the top speed on my Joymax as it is still running-in.

However, base on the following HK owners review, Joymax 0-100km takes less than 8sec. Some have tried speed reaching 140km. Not sure if 140km is the top yet.)

1. (0-100km less than 8 secs) See date posted 2010/3/18

2. (140km) See date posetd 2009/9/3

Try to get ur facts right, Key plus programming is only $30 and rear tires i just change for my max $100...For a set $185 carb Version TMAX, latest version should not be more than $300...
