wa.. ok.. hopefully wun run out of fuel while riding..

anyone got any idea how much it would cost to convert the front to double disc brakes?

cool bro, hmm single disc not sufficient? u can try to source for hornet600 front wheel with disc+caliper+mounting, i think it should work :cheeky:

hmm bro i know hornet shares the same rim size and disc brake size with a certain cbr.let me check

yup, the CBR 900 RR year 1993 to 1999, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_CBR900RR

can check out ebay and stuff for it, cos many people swap out of the 16" size

but bro since u changing the front end, u can aim to try conversion to the more common 17" size, i read in UK forums that many chose to do away with the hornet 250's 16" front because it made the corner entries too divey and aggressive. ALSO more imptantly iMHO, cheaper and wider selections of tyres!!! the hornet 250 owner's nightmare!

hmm but not sure about mounting the calipers on the forks, may have to swap the front forks too...

honestly, twin disc is super overkil!!! But respect to you for this project :)!

i a read british review where they compared the hornet with the super 4 PB 1 and the RVF400 . and they commented the braking, although single disc, is better than the cb400's .

dun worry bro, use the trip meter as a gauge, set to 0 when u pump full tank. ride til abt 330km then go pump and see how much u put in. this is a better way to check, the fuel gauge sometime not zhun one...

newer H250 comes with fuel gauge instead of temp gauge, with carbon prints on the meter. :thumb:

Like mine lol good luck for your tp bro

so far... tried chasing my fren's S4.. on non whacking riding mode.. lose to S4 during pick up.. on the 6th gear.. can easily chase up the gap.. even if both bike whack.. also lose to S4 on pick up.. :cheeky:

found this video on youtube:

0-100km/h:

Super4 spec3 4.7sec

Hornet 250 5.17sec

hornet is not bad afterall!! only abit slower than S4 :cheeky:

Well the point some thing of a sec can be easily closed in on wif proper technique lol any ways i think the hornet got more torque and lighter so its down to skill and balls as we have the advantage of later braking for the corners casue of our fat fat tyres.

well dont need to compare so much :) i feel the hornet 250 judged on its own merits is a a great bike to have.

good looking, excellent handler and wonderful engine performance for its class capacity and engine characteristics.

i dare say one of the best 250cc's ever built.

only drawback for us riders in Singapore is it's rareness, thus the lower availability and higher cost of parts, but rareness is a good thing too no :)!
