Temperature gauge reaching red level

Hi there, I need some advice. I own a X8 bike. Recently I notice the temperature is hitting the Red level on the gauge. Appreciate if anyone can help me to advice what could be wrong...Thanks!

Did you top up the coolant???when was the last time u change the coolant?? Fan working??? Radiator cap used how long??? or maybe the thermostat problem??

Firstly, thanks for your reply.

Coolant was just changed 2-3 months back. The fan works when the temperature almost reach to red level. I'm not sure on the Radiator cap as I'm the 2nd owner- I have never change it since I took it over for 1 yr. How to check if it's thermostat problem? Would it be expensive to repair it? Thanks.

I would advise you to get it check ASAP before anything get worst.

yup, i heard overheat will damage the top head of ur engine. be careful man.
