Hi Guys,

Just to check if anyone tried metal epoxy to mend chip metal parts?

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

I think you are referring to Devcon

to mend chip metal parts?

As a filler onto the chipped off part, yes. Otherwise I don't understand you

I'm not sure of the brand but happen to see one in a hardware store.

In the past my bike slide on the road before, portion of the metal was gone so I wonder if I can fill up the "missing" part and shape it as it is before. Kind of like clay, mold it can fix it back.

I have used those Sellery metal knead epoxy for a metal casing before and it works. but u need to prep the area first. Need to rough up the surface for the epoxy to bite in and free from oil.

Wooo... could you provide me more info? Where can I get it?

Are you able to perform finishing on the dried epoxy surface?

you can buy this from those good DIY shops.. it's like plastercine but need to knead first before use. It can be sanded and painted once dry in less then 1 hr.

I bought "Selleys Knead It" Steel Epoxy putty, I manage to work on the chipped part and it turn out good. Kneading part are kind of messy but it curd pretty fast and its rock hard after which. Can be file, drill or sand.
