a Vespa is more than just a bike. Vespas, especially vintage Vespas are not built for speed; its built for daily commute, plus a strong expression of style and taste. Customize the look of the Vespa to your own style and taste and you have a one in a million bike.

i'm riding a class 2 bike daily now and i still have my 1970 Vespa with me to ride on weekends.

I remember I had the vespa as one of my earliest bikes.

You learn how to handle skidding rears tires (fishtails) which till today on my bigger bikes I use the same skill.

Heheh

Jokes aside, Its economical, its stylish and one of the few bikes in singapore that can actually fluctuate in value with time. =p

One thing to consider getting a vespa is the maintenance. I've already spent about 3k on my gt200 which I've gotten for less than 6 months! and still paying $ to fix the new problems haha.. It feels like a class 2b bike with class 2 maintenance. But riding a vespa is really for one's passion and preference of style. Good for beginner or not, I believe any class 2b bike is a good beginner's bike!

Tell me about it. I spent thousands on my used gt200 to make it to what I want and it still has problems. Good and honest mechanics are hard to find but when you do get the scooter running. It's a joy to be in.

not sure about GT200 specs

but is it automatic transmission.

i dont like autotransmission after my bad experience with sefira(is it how you spell) where the belt snap and need to down engine

i prefer the old vespa like px

I was told to be careful with bikes of smaller tyres which may cause skidding when turning. Just sharing if anyone considering getting scooters with small tyres.
