How do I convert my Korean motorcycle license? I wanna get a 200cc scooter...

Hi..

I have a open class motorcycle license from Korea (equivalent to a Class 2 license)... I've been riding Harleys for 15 years now, but I got the Korean license about 2 months ago (I'm originally from the US).. My US license expired...

 

I'm moving to Singapore in November and I want to get a 200cc scooter for just getting around town... I heard you need to have a license for at least a6 months to get it converted... is there anyway I can get on a smaller 200cc bike faster?

the time to get your application for licence conversion varies..u may check with the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and i'm pretty sure they have the answers to your questions. u can go to http://www.lta.gov.sg or simply call them

You just need to go to your embassy and get a translated copy of your korean driver's license, go to your nearest driving center and tell them you want to convert your license to singapore, book a theory test, wait for around 2months, pass it and you are clear to ride in singapore.

there's a sticky on license conversion - you can book for your theory test first and take it. conversion can take place anytime after you've passed the test...

get a translated copy of your korean driver's license and go to TRAFFIC POLICE @ Ubi. LTA don't do anything as they only deal with vehicles. If you're lucky, you can get a singapore license without having to take a test.
