I planning a solo trip up to MHS however due to time constraint, I can't really slowly ride up and back. Wondering has any avid tourer tried KL - Bangkok Train service and Bangkok - KL train service together with their bike.

Was wondering the timing, cost and feasibility.

Thanks for any comment..

KL to BKK train will take approx 3-4 days. You are better off taking the 5pm express train from Hat Yai and reaching BKK in the morning.

wow didn't know it take so long, do you know the cost for a 200kg bike and procedures? Like must I bring the bike to register early in the morning for the 5pm train or I can just "walk in"

walk in by lunch time Thai time to get cargo space and a sleeper bunk. It's not always that space is available.
