well running in for the old school method is to move at a constant speed of lets say not more that 100km/h or not more than 7k RPM till 1500km before u can wack your bike. Thats for the old models.

 

For the new technology and new school method, wacking your bike hard from time to time WITHOUT touching the red line is better
