well for a mechanic, he will need to use a voltmeter to see if there's voltage flowing through when u rev your bike a little.

 

for a rider, if u just change your battery and your battery's still flat as in cranking sound is not strong. 2 possibilities.

 

either battery is spoil or rectifier is spoilt.

when taken out frm the connectors, there is burnt mark on one of the pins .:help:
